Do It

Alvie discusses this statement today by Governor Bev Perdue of North Carolina:

“You have to have more ability from Congress, I think, to work together and to get over the partisan bickering and focus on fixing things. I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that. The one good thing about Raleigh is that for so many years we worked across party lines. It’s a little bit more contentious now but it’s not impossible to try to do what’s right in this state. You want people who don’t worry about the next election.”

argues for more concentrated political power amongst the ruling Elite.

Do it, you bastards.

Then do it again.

Alea iacta est.

    • Be careful what you wish for.

It starts with a decapitation strike followed by infighting between the elites. Don’t worry, though, the elites will still have need for armed cannon fodder when they break the country apart. The destruction of America is the goal of the transnationalists, of course, and so-called patriots will gleefully play right into it.

I’ve used 2 books so far to show what happens. But, what the heck, who really reads anything anymore when everybody knows everything anyway.

  4. I live in NC.

The one plus side of the Governor is that some NRA people told me that she has a history of being pro-gun. I have not verified.

The Democrats lost both the NC State and House last elections. First time Republicans have been in charge in 100 years. They are busy redistricting so that the next election will take the natural swing in their direction even if Obahma wasn’t so “popular”.

The NC Democrats have problems beyond President “O”. The NC Democrats were a mild form of machine politics prior to their loss. They were successful in NC long after most other states went Republican because their style, outside of Chapel Hill and Asheville, stayed close to the old FDR coalition. However, the more traditional left leaning types had started gaining power within their ranks. If the Democrats get perceived to be of the National type, their is going to be a huge working class swing away from them, and their are not enough wealthy urban elites to buy the election.

  5. I would once again note that, if this IS done, it will NOT be the illustrious governor actually doing ANYTHING. Instead, it will be “Law Enforcement” tasked to do the job. JUST HOW MANY of them do you expect would refuse?

The only good pig is a dead pig. Send them a cocktail through their bedroom window at 2 AM. That won’t wake up the neighborhood until after you have left. And after all, THEY cam up with those tactics.

The war, as I think you know, is already on.

The “peace” at present is no more real and just as dangerous as the Sitzkrieg of late ’39-early ’40.

There are a whole lot of illusions that need to be and will be shattered as the wheel turns.

  7. I don’t understand why anyone is upset by these two. It’s just two socialists saying what’s on their minds, and on the minds of millions of socialist assholes in this country. It’s no big deal, we got a socialist “President”, and socialist congress, and at least four socialist members of SC. I can see my neighbors now, lowing gently, as they are herded to the workers paradise.

  8. Or maybe it’s 1824 and the Decembrist Uprising has yet to start (and ended up not being a game-changer).

Let’s not forget this which was much larger and closer in many ways to our own economic situation:

  9. Float an absurd and insulting idea, and then, “Hey, I was only joking…”.
Rinse. Repeat. Over and over until the FSA and what’s left of the electorate decide it’s a good idea.

Or, a proverbial weather vane for determining the level of negative reaction from FREEFOR.

  11. Orszag is a creep. Knocked up his mistress while married, now engaged to ABC News reader. The powers that be are getting antsy. They are getting bold. We have our plans, they have theirs, but their plans are the ones we usually end up with.

So, we need less democracy and more rule by technocratic elites. What elites? Oh, people like Robert Rubin (also Citibank and Goldman exec.), Jamie Dimon (CEO JP Morgan Chase), Hank Paulson (former Goldman), Alan Greespan, Larry Sommers, Ben Bernanke, THAT ELITE? Your buddies at the CFR?

The one that has done more to bankrupt the country than all the rap-music loving EBT card dependents put together? RIGHT! That makes a lot of sense, I get it.

  12. Did the governor’s and Orszag’s comments get any play or exposure in the MSM? I heard it on Savage on Tuesday about 1530 hours(09/27). Nothing on FAUX NEWS that night. This was definitely a trial balloon. Let’s pray this does not lead to a Fort Sumpter and subsequent draconian martial law. The left has painted themselves into a corner. They know they are in danger of losing everythihg in 2012. So, they will stop at nothing to see the election not happen. Let’s all watch, wait, and stay frosty.

  14. It’s simplistic to say “the left fears they will lose everything in 2012″. As demonstrated by his new job as VP of Global Investments at Citibank it is most unlikely Mr. Orszag will lose everything merely because Obama loses the whitehouse. His job will probably net him $100 million dollars over the next five or six years. Like they rest of them he’ll buy a bolt-hole in the Cayman Islands or perhaps a private island somewhere, or get triple citizenship and have a flat in Paris or Moscow, and money is Swiss and Austrian banks.

The same guys who found, schooled, bought and paid for Obama’s meteoric rise to POTUS without any qualifications surely own big chunks of the GOP too, including several of the leading GOP presidential hopefulls. Obama’s big doner list for 2008 looks a lot like McCains: Goldman-Sachs, JP Morgan, Citibank, Bank of America all feature prominently in both.

Politics is important mostly because he keeps the Wall Street banking cabal firmly attached to the the throat of America. It’s gonna take a lot more than the 2012 elections and President Perry, Romney or Palin to remove it.

  15. They wouldn’t be saying this out loud if it hadn’t been discussed at length, behind closed doors.

“They” always telegraph their intentions. Remember, nothing in politics happens by accident.

  16. Let them do it.

They’re obviously sending this out as a feeler of sorts, and they are looking for the positive feedback, so they need to be encouraged to play the despotic games that they wish for.

Another outright subversion of the Constitution, and it’s all going to end up with an Emporer, and not a President, and it may happen sooner that we all think.

I keep thinking that we have this huge threat looming over us, and in some ways there is, but the greatest thing about this is the knowledge that they really are that stupid and naive. Their power trip clouds any sense of logic or understanding of the common man, they really see us all as Walmart buffoons. My brother in law is in banking, and through him I have seen how truly arrogant and stupid they are. All we have to deal with are their bodyguards, after that it’s a piece of cake.

  18. Let’s all just stay steady here. Talk, won’t avoid what the other folks will bring upon us. Will… just might, depending on how the will is directed.

The old mantra of “There’s going to be a fight, let’s win”, comes to mind as a coping strategy Pretty durned simple as a coping strategy CA has been putting that out for some years now.

BTW, how’s your study of radio comms coming along, for when cell phones and internet don’t work anymore?

  19. Now Semper Fi, 0321, do note that their “bodyguards” include EVERY “Law Enforcement” officer in this country.

    • Semper Fi, 0321

      M Matis,
exact point I was making, ‘their’ bodyguards are the huge threat.
But I still have this fear that most amerikans won’t man up to their duty. In which case we really are fukd anyway!

      • I would note that MOST Americans will not even recognize “”Law Enforcement” as the true evil, not only here, but elsewhere throughout the world.

  20. They aren’t that dumb. Elections will continue uninterrupted, as they did in the USSR.

  21. Cops are the only mechanism any political system has to keep their subjects unfree. There is no other.

Re: “All we have to deal with are their bodyguards, after that it’s a piece of cake.”

Have you factored in that the press/general media will be pumping out BS justifying/championing anti-FreeFor ops to the rest of the populace as was done at Ruby Ridge, Waco, & in Philly/M.O.V.E.? That’s a big force multiplier when you consider that their audience is the so-called patriots gardenserf referred to previously. Recall the campfire scene in Easy Rider where Jack Nicholson laid out the simple (& all too painful) truth to Dennis Hopper & Peter Fonda: “You tell people they’re not free & they’ll get real busy killing & maiming to show you how free they are”, ruminate on the subject of the book titled Hitler’s Willing Executioners, then note that most of American society’s rapidly catching ‘up’ to the degeneracy & barbarism (“flash mobs”, anyone?) of the rest of the planet, & you can see that the removal of the Imperium’s enforcers is unlikely to effect the kind of systemic change that’s needed to physically straighten out the country nor fundamentally affect the debased & degraded mental & moral state of the majority of the American people. How do you think that kind of population will react when the wailing, grief stricken, & outraged families/friends/co-workers of the slain Imperial goons are presented to it repetitiously by both the Left & ‘Right’parts of the media? It’s one thing to have such as those on MSNBC/similar braying Imperial propaganda, but when the same line’s being repeated (in a “fair & balanced”, “no spin”, “fearless” way, of course) by those who portray themselves as the Imperium’s philosophical/moral opposition, the certitude of victory becomes less so & the cost increases dramatically. It’s a terrible thing to have to say, but IMO the best short & long term thing that could’ve happened to Americans would be that the ‘Red Dawn’ scenario had occurred as such a catastrophe would expose those who passively/actively worked to implement the goals of the attacker (as well as those who thru moral/intellectual squishiness enabled the furtherance of said goals) thus leaving them to be dealt w/ by the remainder of the citizenry w/o much effective interference from LE/legal system. There’re few things that clarify reality better than a near death experience, & a reality check on a scale like that tends to simplify things big time.

Sorry, I guess I wasn’t clear that my comment was sarcastic. None of this will be easy, no matter how it plays out.

    russell1200,

If NC’s govt is as ‘conservative’/pro-2A as you imply, why haven’t the gun registration laws/regulations/statutes been repealed?

    Bill Buppert/30Sept@3:54,

It’s interesting that no one from the Left or ‘Right’ hasn’t as yet done/published a well researched study on that topic. That, & the well documented fact (Warren v D.C., the Rodney King riot, Katrina) that LE doesn’t have to protect the individual from criminal perfidy (whether ‘regular’ or govtl) would do damage to LE’s aura of Compassionate & Steadfast Protectors Of The Public, & especially if LE/its defenders/sycophants tried to refute the evidence presented. Imagine the sh*tstorm something like that would stir up, & how revealing it’d be.
