Time:

Proposed 60min class – depending on # and install headaches

Things we need to know beforehand:
* How many will show up
Without >10 RSVP, this isn’t going to happen – waste of resources.
See the end of the paste on how to register.
* What operating system are you bringing?
Windows, Mac, Linux, etc

Things that would be awesome that everyone have:
* a DVD with TAILS on it

https://tails.boum.org

a privacy toolset so we have a common platform
* cryptocat (https://crypto.cat/) installed in your browser in case we hit max occupancy at http://www.chatzy.com
* [Beginners] Second computer hooked up to the internet (at the same time!)
so that if main box has issues, class time isn’t wasted getting through error screens
* [Advanced] GPG software already installed.
https://www.gpgtools.org/ for Windows
http://www.gpg4win.org/ for Mac

The more people with the software already installed we can get, the more ground we’ll be able to cover.

We’re trying to get a headcount, so no need to use your real credentials – but please RSVP:

  1. Perhaps I missed it. “07:00CST”. 0700 or 1900 hours?

  2. Thanks, CA.
Even if you have PK squared away, you might want to show up as there will be networking (there will be multiple trainers available – we’re going to work small groups) as well as covering some peripheral topics.
If there’s enough uptake, I have some proposed future subject matter that should be of interest – http://pastebin.com/2t0200jR
Thank you for your time, and hope to see you there.

  3. Reblogged this on Reality Check and commented:
Something you all might want to read through.

  4. Great Effort LB, will be there, getting everything else set up over the next week. Had TOR for while, the add-ons will be good to have too. Thanks for all you do.

  6. Yup. Ditto. Will be there, somehow. Can’t run Tor at work for some reason though….
