They Thought They Were Free

Commenter William Munny sends this excellent essay on another educated, sophisticated people who acquiesced in their own demise.

Read it all, please.

Thank Greenwood nothing like that could ever happen here in Amuhrica.

And by the way – “deserve” actually has quite a bit to do with it.

Alea iacta est.

  1. And here we sit. I don’t see any difference between them, and us. I am as much as a non-thinking coward as they were, and just as ashamed. I don’t see any way out of this, either. The Founders wouldn’t have put up with half this crap, why do we? Is life so sweet, or peace so dear, to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Apparently, that’s how we will end.

  2. Just….damn. That one short excerpt had more “quotes for truth” than I’ve seen on one page in a helluva long time.

  3. “But the one great shocking occasion, when tens or hundreds or thousands will join with you, never comes”. This is where we are.

So how do we go about making those who would be our masters make an error?
When they bone it up and reveal too much, push too hard, take an amount beyond the line of acceptance, that works to our favor.
What and How do we lead them into that one critical mistake?

Or, do we use the assets we have for the best effect we can get? Waking up Joe Sheeple might not be the best investment of time and effort.

  4. Is it coincidental that amazondotcom is “out of stock” on their $26 paperback, and the next available copy new/used is over $300? f… that-
    Here it is

Coincidences don’t exist. Everything that is important is planned to go how it does.

Joe and Joelene will graze in the sun, because that’s what they do. In the spring, around the middle April, they are sheared. If the winter looks hard and there is not going to be enough feed, the best animals are held back, while the herd is processed for the freezers and the cannery. If done professionally, there will be little waste. Here come the skilled processors, now.

  5. That the separation between those who govern and the governed occurs should come as no surprise to any of us. This is the rule and there are no exceptions. From the inception, governments, through the application of power incrementally obtained by those in high positions and those who would benefit personally by the excersise of that power, always rule to the detriment of those who only seek to maintain their existence according to Natural Law.

Relative to awakening the sheeple I would suggest a re-reading of this essay. The “sheeple” are far to busy trying to survive these generated crises economically and physically, in addition to practicing the “artful dodge” to avoid conflicts with government that would prevent them from providing sustenance for themselves and their dependents. We are all being manipulated into a position where physical conflict between the government and the governed becomes inevitable. Those in government are aware of history in this regard; but their hubris has conviced them that this time the result will be different, thereby validating their efforts. How often in history has this never been the case? It can and will happen here.

As in the case of a misbehaving child, first the warning that the behavior is in error and is followed by the revelation punishment will follow for failing to correct the behavior. This advisory is followed by the presentation of the method. Finally the administration of the punishment. Behavior changed.

I have always been amazed at the sudden dawning of reality that occurs in the mind of petty tyrants and criminals alike when their continued existence is threatened, along with a display of resolve, if their course of action is not changed.

Draw your line in the sand and make them know the consequences in no uncertain terms when you say, “You shall not pass.” It is the only way. It is that or roll onto your back and urinate in submission. To date they have not reached my line in the sand but the encroachment nears.

    Rattle, rattle.

  6. It’s amazing to me when I see the line about “race injury”…

Then, it amounted to “miscegenation” — now it amounts to pretty much anything BUT.

Then, one became an “enemy” by saying anything GOOD about a certain minority – even if it were true. Now one becomes The Enemy by saying anything BAD about them – even if it is true!

They were National Socialists – ours are INTERnational Communists…

The parallels are striking – never have I seen more identical “opposites”!!
