Emotional Politics

“You cannot dissuade a person from a position with reason and facts if reason and facts did not determine the position in the first place.”

Read the whole thing.

Understand that as a “domestic terrorist” and “hoarder” in the narrative pushed by the PTB and their lackeys, you are next in the crosshairs.

Apply your time and other resources accordingly.

  1. Nail on head, read that yesterday, and it explains why the Neocons as well will keep thumping for war, no matter the facts, i.e. Iran. Pitiful.

  2. “…it explains why the Neocons as well will keep thumping for war…”

    Or the Libs.

    Don’t agree? You’re wrong.

Best not to differentiate this along such silly lines as parties. We all know better.

On Sept 22, the Senate passed a resolution 99-1 that the US must “do everything possible”, dropping our containment policy, to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons. The one objector was Rand Paul.

  3. I read that first line “deep in the bowls” and I have to wonder if that is referring to the free bowls of Ice Cream that was promised in the school election –OR– should that read BOWELS which is where all the Crap comes out of one’s backsides. This is implying that darn near all politics is a LOAD OF CRAP. Either way, this Nation is skrewed if the Commandante in Chief (or is that THIEF) gets another 4 years.

The 47% are not capable of understanding it but by wanting my stuff they want the entire country to fail.

    Failure they’ll have.

And in the end I will win because I have framed my life without their stuff and when their stuff is gone I will still have mine and they’ll have none.

Rather than being humbly grateful they are being in-your-face greedy and the penalty for that socialist error is misery and death.

“The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”

  5. Bracken and Rawles ARE optimists.

  6. That “money quote” is the single most potent, crystalline explanation for our plight I ever expect to read.

If right action proceeds from an unblinking appreciation of the unvarnished facts, it is from there that we must start. And the implications are frighteningly clear. Talk will be less than cheap, it will be suicidal.

  7. Each current generation, owes a debt to the previous generation, which must be paid to the future generation. I think my tab has arrived.

  8. Aye aye, Sir!

    I liked his closing:
“Prepare people, prepare. The future is a chaotic place.”

” ‘You cannot dissuade a person from a position with reason and facts if reason and facts did not determine the position in the first place.’ ”

    The simple truth.

Reasoning and emotion use two different parts of the brain. Reasoning with a two year old (any many of the so-called “adults” in our society are struck at the emotional maturity level of a two year old) is a waste of time. And the end result of where our society has been driven over the last 50 years is large segments of the population that can’t think for themselves, therefore they emote for themselves.

I’m done trying to “convince” people, or “educate” people,” or any of that crap. If somebody asks me for advice, I’ll give it. But if somebody else hasn’t figured out by now that we’re in for a world of shit, that’s their problem.
