Banzai Speaks!

What is interesting is the following. Four years ago people did Hitler images of Obama that were deemed politically incorrect and in terribly bad taste. There was no apparent factual context justifying such satire.

Here we are 4 years on and an analogy what was seen as politically incorrect has become perfectly legitimate satire for any number of good reasons. Many people still don’t like it when they see this. But it is the reality conveyed by the image that they should dislike. Here we are seeing the great sovereign who decides the exceptions.

Liberals and conservatives should stop hammering each other over the head and start looking at their common enemies. You want your guns, you want your civil liberties; they want to take it all from both of you!

Last week we heard all kinds of inaugural blathering and pontifications about American ideals.

Meanwhile, reports of untouchable corruption and cronyism reached a fevered pitch. When legal scholars and judges argue that the Constitution is dead, we all have a great deal to be concerned about. When the rats that enable Wall Street lawlessness while hounding people like Aaron Swartz to the grave are allowed to scurry back to their cushy white shoe enclaves, it is compulsory to be outraged.

There can be no crony elite respect for the the concept of “a nation of laws and not men.”

For Hitler and the Nazis, the ends always justified their means as well. For too many in the halls of power, looking at an image like this certainly can be unsettling because it has become a kind of crony American mirror. A mirror that projects itself with truth. To them I say: Time to wake up to the smell of populist napalm you morons.

There is a reason behind the renaissance popularity of Orwell’s 1984. He apparently got the date wrong. He actually meant 2014.

History does not repeat itself, but it rhymes, to paraphrase Mark Twain.

And fascism is alive and well.

Now, go and read the Justice Department memo explaining the purported basis for deciding when American citizens abroad can be targeted with drones.

  1. Just hypothetically speaking, when I read about bureauweenies out of control, corrupt vermin in our government, I want to take up a weapon and start inflicting “western” justice on them as the law no longer works and the rats are in charge of it anyway. We need to hang a few hundred or so.

    Hypothetically speaking that is.

  2. All the points of the author are duly noted. It was good to see that fascism was penned and not communism. As in fascism, the government and industry work together and in communism the government owns the industry.
Now for the fun part. During my short reading period of Western R.S.A. I have noted some really cool pictures. Pictures which would make provocative posters. Being an old soul who loves banners and drums and of course the pipes, I would love to see some of these pictures mass produced into posters which could be attached to just about anything. Dare not without some form of approval of the artist and/or publisher. I would appreciate W.R.S.A. comments on how this could be effected. Counter propaganda and all that sort of thing.

  3. Good idea on the posters. The author of many of them is William Banzai who publishes at ZeroHedge, another very worthwhile site. One thing you need to print big is high-res files. I’ve tried to blow little web images up to poster size before and they suck.

Most images here can be blown up to normal 8&1/2×11 inch size. You can do that with a xerox machine. If a black and white poster good effect can be had by using florescent paper, which only costs a few cents more a sheet than plain white but is way better for catching peoples eyes.

I’ve used a bunch of Bracken’s stuff going back a decade in just this way. Quite satisfying to leave them around town.

  4. I’ve seen others venturing the notion that Obama is in fact a national socialist and the more I read about it, the more I become convinced there may be some basis to thos.

There is just one way I know for liberals and conservatives to stop whacking each other, and that is Panarchy. Let conservatives be conservatives, let liberals be liberals, and let neither of them impose their wills on the other. The enemy is in Washington DC and in Wall Street.
