Your Foe #2

…Unbeknownst to you, I am surrounded by people who claim to identify with the tea party and/or go to the meetings. Most of my family , extended family, friends and associates for starters. When I ask them what they are willing to do to stop the runaway federal spending, they have nothing to offer. Well, they want their taxes reduced a bit. Maybe ease back a bit on defense spending, maybe. But not the veteran’s benefits. Most of them resent the welfare queens and food stamp recipients and most of them won’t say so out loud. Most are not thrilled with the bank bailouts. But, not one of them is willing to stop paying taxes. None of them would touch 95% of the federal budget. None of them would surrender any of their own federally funded benefits. So, where does that leave us? It leaves us with the conclusion that the members of the tea party want their goodies and are willing to pay enough tax dollars to keep them. But they don’t want to pay for some of the goodies other people get. It’s just simple logic.

It may be that you don’t quite grasp the extent of the gravy train. Or maybe you have so much money, it just doesn’t matter? The federal spending train subsidizes nearly everything in this country. And I mean everything. Would you really put all those people out of work – at one stroke?

If so, the anarchists would love to have you join their group.

  1. Even with the un-political types I talk to on a daily basis, there is a palatable undercurrent of fear, described to me as “waiting for the shoe to drop.”

    Here is the antidote.

Then David said to the Philistine, “… I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.” Sam 17:45 Ever wonder why two people can hear the same thing and yet have very different responses? For one, what is said causes fear and causes discouragement. For the other, his heart is so filled with faith that his righteous anger burns against the devil and what he is doing. In the Valley of Elah, Goliath the Philistine giant taunted the armies of Israel for 40 days. When David came on the scene, he heard the same mockings of Goliath that the rest of the Israelites heard. But somehow, those same words which caused fear in the soldiers just angered David. What did David know or see that the others failed to see? David knew that he had a covenant with God. He knew he had the victory before the battle. Now, King Saul and all the soldiers with him that day also had the same covenant with God, but only David believed the covenant. And he acted on his belief. So through David..God caused the giant to come tumbling down. If David had such a great victory even though he was under the old covenant, how much more you and I who are under the new covenant! Today, God is asking, “Where are my Davids who will believe and walk boldly in the new covenant?” What is the new covenant? It is the covenant of grace. And grace means unmerited, undeserved, unearned favor. Brothers and sisters God wants us to know that He has cut this covenant with us through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is our representative. And according to the covenant, we have His undeserved favor. We are blessed because Jesus took our beating. Because of what Jesus has done on the cross, we have been given victory over every giant. Now isn’t that some good news? Today, God wants you to stand before your “giant” and boldly declare that in spite of what you are going through, in spite of what is happening, you know without a doubt that God is for you because of what Jesus has done for you. And then, before your very eyes, you will see the giants of fear, accusation, intimidation, condemnation, disease and debt fall flat before you! Stand up today my brothers and sisters and boldly proclaim before the world “CHRIST IS KING TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER!!! JESUS SAVES!! GLORY TO THE KING!!”

I respect those that see things in a more secular viewpoint. These words where not meant for you. They are meant for those who are looking around for hope in this situation our country finds itself in, where hope in your fellow man is a thin hope indeed. Your enemy will always let you know what he fears most. It is no mistake there is all out suppression of Christian faith by the Marxist machine.

“Any single man must judge for himself whether circumstances warrant obedience or resistance to the commands of the civil magistrate; we are all qualified, entitled, and morally obliged to evaluate the conduct of our rulers. This political judgment, moreover, is not simply or primarily a right, but like self-preservation, a duty to God. As such it is a judgment that men cannot part with according to the God of Nature. It is the first and foremost of our inalienable rights without which we can preserve no other.”-– John Locke (1632-1704)

  2. I listened to a pretty good takedown of the Tea Party by NPR (yeah, yeah, I listen to it from time to time. It’s good to know what the enemy is saying) a couple-of-three-years ago. They played a couple of audio clips that made me chuckle.

One was the old geezer defiantly challenging his congressthing to “keep your government hands off my medicare!”

The other was a group of Tea Partyin’ bluehairs and goofs in Florida protesting cuts to NASA. They hung themselves on their own words, with little prompting from the reporter. In fact, you could tell she was a little confused and incredulous by the pure cognitive dissonance she was experiencing.

You could feel and see the smarm of the NPRniks through the radio. I laughed.

Poor deluded bastards still think the government is beneficent and that “their investment” in SS/medicare/etc wasn’t just pure theft. They still cling to the quaint notion that they will “get back what they put in.”

The sad part is, they’ll bury all of us in their stubborn belief that “they’ll get what they’re owed” from an entity that, using GAAP, is $220 trillion in the hole.

Karl Denninger went part tard today

    • I tried questioning Denninger on it but he swings a mighty ban hammer. I personally believe the economic collapse will be the first move and the best move. Using the USSR as an example sucks ass. That crap took 80 years and here they are now, run by former KGB again.

If his point is merely war sucks and there is no guarantee of success, well no kidding.

      • Ma’am, I’d sure like it if you would grace us with a piece on how this all looks to a smart woman.

It would be a very useful contribution.

        Really.

      • cultcha tourista

Karl Denninger is a smart guy. Inside his experience/knowledge base, there is insight unavailable elsewhere. Opinion on QNX and probably the future of Blackberry is deep. He built the market-ticker site, and it seems to work great. He had a good vision of the obvious future (bubble) in 2005, stepped out and downsized to his financial benefit. Awesome.

He has had interesting guests. That’s a way better way to keep a site interesting than attempting to work at the ragged edges of competentcy.

Understanding ground-level tyranny and small wars? Motivation of regular patriotic Americans. Not so much.

I’ve been banned for undesirable opinions, and for not paying up. It’s his sandbox.

        • I think Denninger’s biggest problem is he assumes others will act on the same knowledge and reasoning he has. Example, his call on Blackberry. What he misses is he is not most people.

    • Waiting in Idaho

This is why I quit wasting my time reading him. Just what we need, more defeatism. I have a cop associate (use to be a friend) who always said I couldn’t stand up to a Hellfire. You shoot the pilot before he is airborne.

    • Its not surprising. Denninger has always tolerated little dissent even if intelligently presented. His site, his rules. His belief isn’t all wrong, but it is foolish to completely toss out the violent option. Bullies don’t respond very often to “lawful” protest. They just change the rules. The moral highground doesn’t mean much if you’re demonized at every turn.

  4. Maggie’s is largely populated by Neo-cons and fat cats who are very comfortable, all while posing as common folk who believe in traditional values and limited government. The problem is that the goal posts have been moved so far left of center that anything truly traditional is considered too extreme.
“The federal spending train subsidizes nearly everything in this country. And I mean everything. Would you really put all those people out of work – at one stroke?”
As someone who was raised up in a Republican household and voted that way in the beginning, then went to Libertarian (during the Reagan years) and finally to quit voting (after Clinton was reelected) and withdrawal of all consent, to advocating Anarchy (for the past 12 years or so) as our only hope of survival, all in the span of 40 years, I’ll give you my answer to the above question. Most definitely YES! In one stroke, I would be pleased to see the whole damn thing flushed down the toilet, because it is a fraud through and through.

This system in its current incarnation is like a patient with gangrene. The doctor may try to cut out little bits and pieces and wind up losing the patient anyway. Or, amputate the limb entirely in the hope of saving the patient. There is the chance that it is too late for amputation to be effective and the patient will die regardless. Treating the illness with mild doses of antibiotics and band-aids won’t fix the problem and will eventually kill the patient anyway.

I say cut the damn limb off. Sadly, the TEA Party are ignorant of a lot of things and think they can just do patchwork and remain comfy. Get ready for some real discomfort. That reality is the future. You bought, now own it, America.

    • SemperFi, 0321

You describe me also. I did those things at one time, now I trust nor believe no one! This nation is infested with the cancer of lies, not one politician is to be trusted anymore, and the other 99.9% already are Team Evil.
The Tea Party is the laughing stock of America, and yet they still believe they can vote their way out of this, AND, reclaim all their stolen money. Naive fools, all.
I’ve talked with some friends, just barely older than I am, VN vets too. They refuse to understand we are now facing armed conflict, the days of voting and trusting a politician are looong gone. They will not admit how bad things have truly become, still living in some dream world of hope.
Gonna be a lot of dead trusting fools out there.

  5. “You bought, now own it, America.”

Nice. That’s the story, isn’t it? No refunds or exchanges either. All one can do is stop buying and find something else to shop.

The problem with anarchy as it’s often taken, is that it implies that one can buy nothing at all in this metaphor. But that’s not right, unless one literally and physically lives alone on an island. People interact, so the real question is whether they interact consensually–as the volitional creatures that they are–or as thugs. I hope op catches that.

Of course, if a guy CHOOSES to live alone on an island…
