UPDATE 2300EDT 29 APRIL 2014: Oathkeepers responds.

41 responses to “Coalitions

  1. Uncle Remus

Pray we can sort this out sooner rather than later.

  2. I read both links. Things are still very early. With timelines in mind ask yourself who first granted the military commissions of George Washington and Robert E Lee?

  3. I am not surprised. I see the same internecine squabbles in this AO.

  4. So What? There are some differences between two patriot groups. Let’s not get into a circular firing squad saying this or that about people showing up and protecting Bundy and his family and property. IF there is ever a fight—we need all patriots in the battle–and NO various groups won’t be doing it like your group or tribe. But if you all squabble then Ozero, Reid and their numerous henchmen will just wipe us all out.

All major battles/wars in world history are won by groups who put together battlefield command and coordination—with multiple groups that may even have been enemies at one point. Imagine Churchill (whatever you think of him) agonizing how he needed Franco to maintain neutrality in WW2 vs fielding an army along side Germany.

Its much better for Oathkeepers and Militias to form bonds and bridges and for both major groups to reach out to the public via political movements—tea party—libertarians—etc to build larger organizations that will have both political and projection of force/influence within society.

The fight is out there not in here.

Good lord these guys could fuck up a wet Tshirt contest. I more than understand the problems associated with a volunteer organization so I cant ride them too bad but man its just bad optics.

  7. If you put a bunch of Alpha Dog’s in a pin together so what do you most always get? A dog fight!

Either the ego’s get put aside or we ain’t nothing but a bunch of dogs fighting over our territory until the man comes in and kicks our butt’s thus making us all understand who our real enemy is.

  8. Please check your hush mail. thanks!

After doing a good bit of reading on this I have a couple of questions nagging at me that I hope someone with knowledge reading this will answer.
First, who is Ryan Payne and how did he become Militia Liaison?
Second, how was Jerry DeLemus able to come in and “take charge and assume control” over, basically, everyone there? From Gary Hunt’s description it seems that he has done some serious fucking up.

  10. NightWatcher

This “story” seems fishy on so many levels. At the very least, it appears to be “single source” information (Mr. X).

As soon as I heard “Eric Holder gave an order to the DoD”, the conversation would have ended. I call BS.

    NightWatcher

  11. For a community that is so quick to jump the shark to “He’s a FED!!!” the moment someone doesn’t part their hair as expected, I’ll never get over the kneejerk “Shut up! Sit Down! Work together! We’re all on the same team!” group-think streams.

I wonder how many Stark’s are going to have to lose their heads before Patriots begin to realize there really are boogeymen in the midst either working wholly for the other side, or working so single-headedly for their own selfish gains as to jeopardize the overall mission.

  12. Given the jointness, interoperability, etc., of agencies these days that wouldn’t cause me to bat an eye.

The rest of it smells funny. Wasn’t trying to ID his source, but gave a pretty detailed description….

  13. All I know is I wasn’t BOTG at Bundy Ranch.
    Oathkeepers were.
    I won’ t criticize.

  14. Oh fer Christ’s sake….Not another Militia versus Oath Keepers issue. I happen to be a member of BOTH. I personally, and I repeat, PERSONALLY don’t see any difference. The mission, as far as I’m concerned, remains the same for both groups. Every time I see this kind of crap, I realize in certain ways, that we are far from putting ourselves on the silver throne of beings guardians of the Republic. If we are still worrying about this “division” between the groups, then we’ve got a long way to go. Quit trying to over-analyze this shit. It ain’t fucking rocket science. Rant over. Carry on.

  15. Descendant of Cave Painters

Beware agents provocateur launched by .gov to stir the cauldron and maybe spill it on the fire.

  16. Descendant of Cave Painters

How many of the number who report to be Oath Keepers and Militia members are actually informants and drones of .gov handlers? Common sense is not a luxury. Vet and verify.

  17. Battlefield USA

Yeah, well… when the metal starts flying, everyone better be on the same page. Imagine say… the Battle of the Ia Drang Valley and every tribe squad, tribe platoon… doing their own independent thing outside a chain of command but its own?

  18. They sound like a bunch of bitches to me. I consider myself a free agent/patriot. I will follow competent leadership that proves itself, if need be. I follow no one who proclaims leadership by virtue of their fucking egos. As soon as I hear bitching like this, I question both motivation and leadership ability.

  19. Thanks, Jethro. Exactly.

  20. Some threads back a comment was made regarding looking into the ICS/NIMS system put into play after 9/11. Even though it was pulled together by our great benefactors it was designed to be an effective way to pull together resources from many different agencies in a very simple CandC system.

The beauty of the system is in its simplicity. Too, it can be shaped and molded for just about any ’emergency’ situation one may encounter.

  21. outlawpatriot

    Ooo… Not a fucking chance.

    Good example.

Also important to that battle were the chopper pilots, airmen and the dudes on the fire bases.

Maybe a new term should be introduced to this flopping, bouncing, careening bunch.

    Cohesive.

Not everybody gets out alive. But the majority do. And more importantly, you win.

    Cohesive.

  22. Dewayne Elizondo Herbert Mountain Dew Camacho

    Oathkeepers? Oathquieffers.

    There, I fixed it.

Maybe Rhodes could buy the LA Clippers and rename them the Oathclippers.

  23. Maybe I’m being too nit-picky but in the video, I noticed the phone ringing a couple times and it got me to thinking bout OPSEC…..why weren’t their batteries pulled before the meeting? While just the article and the video alone proves there is some issues amongst this coalition that could be used by the .gov types, (since its in the web sphere now), I personally would have suggested pulling batteries on all cell phones prior to the meeting just as a safety measure.

Make the .govs work for their intel…..just sayin.

  24. President Camacho, thank you for stopping by.

Any sight of that smart guy with the big brain in a little peanut head?

We’ve got a couple of questions.

  25. SemperFi, 0321

Don’t forget T-shirt sales either, part of their logistics plan.

  26. unbeknownst to me, I was an “oathkeeper” before it was cool and there was a t-shirt to wear… since the first Tea Party gathering in DC and my first exposure to it, I have supported the “official OK organization” off and on… organizations as well as individual people are corruptible and susceptible to influences from within and without… if the “drone strike” was a psyop to gauge reaction or a blown attempt to re-create Waco, the fact remains that the Bundys still need the support of the entire Patriot community… distraction from the foundational principle of Rightful Liberty cannot be tolerated… therefore:

    1) I remain committed to the support of the Bundys
    2) I remain committed to Rightful Liberty by any means possible
    3) I remain committed to those who are committed to the pursuit and reestablishment of Rightful Liberty

    Perfect. And words have meaning…

    Cohesive:

    1. characterized by or causing cohesion: a cohesive agent.
    2. cohering or tending to cohere; well-integrated; unified: a cohesive organization.
    3. Physics. of or pertaining to the molecular force within a body or substance acting to unite its parts.

    Synonyms for cohesive:

    United. Close-knit. Adhesive. Tenacious. Connected.

    Antonyms:

Detached. Loose. Disjointed. Unconnected. Crumbling. Divided. Separated. Friable. Breakable.

The closet word to cohesive is tenacious and its synonyms are:

adamant, bound, clinging, coherent, cohesive, determined, dogged, fast, firm, forceful, inflexible, intransigent, iron, meaning business, mulish, obdurate, obstinate, persevering, persistent, persisting, pertinacious, possessive, purposeful, relentless, resolute, retentive, set, solid, spunky, stalwart, staunch, steadfast, stout, strong-willed, stubborn, sturdy, sure, tight, tough, true, unforgetful, unshakable, unswerving

    Imagine that.

(Copy and paste. Hopefully I got the kinks out),

  29. The boogeymen have already shown how they operate. They have been practicing on 1% bike clubs for years. To learn how they operate, there are plenty of websites that detail infiltrations of “Outlaw” motorcycle clubs.

Love them or hate them, the 3% have much in common with the 1% when it comes to dealings with the alphabet agencies. Feds don’t think outside they box – they use the same techniques over and over again. Why? Because it is what works for them.

  30. Agreed. The Bundy family needs support and the militia on the ground needs support.

    The remainder was predictable, unfortunately.

  31. Slightly OT: Wait until the DoJ pressures banks to close the accounts of all “domestic terrorists”. http://pjmedia.com/instapundit/187559/

  32. Too far down the memory hole?

    Selected remarks:

It’s a complete system: Government, Industry, Church, and Academia. These guys jump from one to the other all the time. No one forced Corporations to off shore our jobs and insource millions of aliens. Knock off the “Collectivism” mantra. We need Collective action against this entire system.

    oughtsix | April 29, 2014 at 10:34 |

    Agreed, Gwain.

How about we call it common purpose, unity of action?

All Liberty minded individuals had better bury the hatchet, in the heads of our COMMON enemies, and find COMMON ground upon which to stand…

Or any chance for Liberty for any ONE will be lost, and for a Hellish long time.

    oughtsix | April 28, 2014 at 10:07 |

    “Collective resistance?” Uh-oh….

Jim Klein, please pick up the white courtesy phone.

Not that I think we any longer have any choice but to recognize that we must work together or lose/die individually. Our enemies have no problem using any means to “collectively” attack us.

The biggest hurdle the “Resistance” has is AGREEMENT. We cannot agree on who or what the enemy is. We cannot agree on the means to oppose and defeat them. Their is no agreement on organization, structure, roe, or the desired end state, or much of anything else except that we’re “screwed.”

This long debate we’ve been having has been instructive and is a reflection of some of Liberty’s best attributes but the time for wrangling over the nuances and details of philosophical, political or moral positions is over. We are out of time. Keep it up and there will be an END state where it’ll all be moot and there will be few left to know or care.

The enemy: Any government and all its functions, religious institution or philosophy which seeks unlimited and final power over the Liberty of individuals.

The solution: Any means necessary to destroy the enemy’s will, methods, supplies, supporters, and kill in spectacular, unforgettable fashion the high profile perpetrators and their enablers.

Can we at least agree “collectively” on that simple outline?

I repeat, we are out of time for the Liberty Debate Club Oratory and Ego Stroking Fratricide Fest. Everything that could possibly be said by all participants of what ever religious, philosophical or political persuasion
has already been said over and over and debated into the stalemate that is inevitable when ego investment in the same is the highest priority, and when such views are irreducible and incompatible.

Nothing further is to be gained. You all know where you stand on such things. What was once necessary and revelatory has now become a liability.

“If we don’t hang together, we shall most assuredly hang separately.”

Some really smart guy, as wise as a serpent, said that, while trying to create a place where Liberty would be paramount: if we could keep it.

We couldn’t. Can we get it back?

    Not through debate.

    Concerned American | April 28, 2014 at 10:26 |

The enemy: Any individual or government (including all of its functions), religious institution, or philosophy which seeks unlimited and final power over the Liberty freedom of individuals living according to Jefferson’s rightful liberty (unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others).

The solution: Any means necessary to destroy the enemy’s will, methods, supplies, supporters, and kill in spectacular, unforgettable fashion the high profile perpetrators and their enablers.

    There.

    Fixed it for you.

No disagreement here. Clarity is good.

I’m going to strive to live by and represent my comments above.

    Concerned American | April 28, 2014 at 11:04 |

    Me too.

  33. The perception that they left the ranch and abandoned the Bundy family must be just killing them to spin this up to this level.

Inquiring minds want to know…why on earth would fed.gov need infiltrators? Does anyone think fed.gov is doing much more than LTFAO?

  34. WolfenJaeger

A quandary: in the circle video, they claim that they have no solid idea why OK leadership cut and ran, yet the OK memo that IRONWILL has posted up on his site says that OK informed the Ranch Profectors know about the crisis. Which is the real deal?
Also… Why were the OK leadership so worried about replaceable equipment when the entire mission at the ranch is TO PROTECT THE RANCHERS AND MAKE SURE THE SITUATION IS RECORDED? Kind of fucking hard to do that from a hotel, ain’t it?

As an emergency responder I’m trained and certified in ICS/NIMS. If it was widely understood in the patriot movement we wouldn’t see the kind of stupid shit going on at the Bundy ranch.
It’s real easy and free to do so. Just become a volunteer in your local EMA. I’m a public safety diver and I’m on the ground search team, as well as a volunteer firefighter. There are other specialties as well if they fit your interests better.
By becoming a volunteer emergency responder you get all the training you want at no out of pocket cost to you, and, more importantly you can learn who’s who in your local AO, how their command structure is set up, local doctrine, what equipment they have, where they keep it, and how they train with it, who the dedicated professionals are and who the psychopaths are.
By becoming known as “one of us” you can gain the enemy’s trust which opens up all kinds of opportunities for creative mayhem when the balloon goes up.
Until that happens you can be one of the real good guys helping your community.

  37. Ditto Singlestack, am there, doing that. Whether CERT, SAR, first responder, EMT, doesn’t really matter as most of the training is free, you just may meet some like-minded people in your AO, and whilst interfacing with joe Snuffy and the shiney badge crowd you will have a much better understanding of their internal dynamics.

    Chieu Hoi!

  38. Grenadier1

Ding Ding, Been following that plan for a few years now. I have planned and worked some big SAR exercises as a result (over 100 people and 5 aircraft). Gets me schooled in how to move hardware and software in meatspace. Last summer I planned and coordinated a joint agency SAREX. Multiple groups with different rules and regs, com structures and proceedures, assets and logistics. Lots of moving parts. The only way these things work is when people willingly do their part and follow.
By and large its less about Leading and more about Following. Leaders emerge the problem is that some leaders worry or obsess about leading, and have no willingness to follow. You can and should do both. Its great to be an inspiration to the people who are following you but you have to be willing to follow someone else that demonstrates an ability or at least occupies a position that is more central than yours.
For example, showing up at the Bundy ranch and finding out that someone has been put in “charge” of the militia already. You may have shown up with a bigger crew than any other there but a real leader reaches out to that person in “charge” and says “Where do you want us and what do you want us to do”. A real leader does not show up unzip his fly and demand that people all now submit to his leadership because he has a T-Shirt.

  39. “Where do you want us and what do you want us to do”

    The magic phrase.

    Perfect.

    I have my moments. 😉
