Into The Breach – Dan Almond For Georgia State Representative, 159th District

banks of the potomac 19 april 2010

Remember this guy?

He was the brains and spark behind both the 2010 Armed March on the Potomac and the several Rifle Open Carry rallies at the Georgia Capitol.

He’s now running for the state legislature.

Support him however you choose.

He’s a good ‘un.

  1. No one can ever say that he didn’t try hard enough…

You’re delusional if you think we can vote our way out of this mess.

Isn’t that the meme here at WRS?

That being said, he is a good man.

    • Thanks all for the kind words. I’ve got plenty of flaws, and we’re not going to agree on everything all the time, but we’re in this fight together. I don’t necessarily think we can vote our way out. But voting and campaigning are good organizational and communications venues. The old quote “We’re at that awkward stage where its too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot..” has been around for what? Decades. It’s either one or the other or both. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good gunfight and Cliven Bundy is a hero of mine, but I think the best use of my efforts right now is to try to work within the system.

      • “But voting and campaigning are good organizational and communications venues.”

Logical. Of course, internment camps are good venues for those too. I guess we can’t figure out the goodness on the basis of organizational or comm value.

Presumably you don’t wish to lift a finger against your neighbors or countrymen; that would be all I personally care about. And that’s one of my favorite pics ever! Hey, each person’s gotta choose his own path to living how he wishes.

Of course, I don’t think any of it, in any respect, is going to amount to a hill o’ beans without the understanding that “living how one wishes” is the supreme goal in the first place. Hierarchy. Funny how even in this spot, almost nobody will make that leap. Fantasies run deep, I guess.

“Please, please…I just want the same and different. And I want someone else to achieve that impossible goal for me.” Gee, I wonder why it never happens.

      • Daniel,
        God Bless you for trying!

        Daniel,
Respect! We need leaders who are will to think outside the box and are willing to go to jail – as King and Ghandi did – to become heroes of our cause.

Think Bobby Sands and the IRA.

Going to Congress and/or a State House is ineffective in and of itself.

Take care and may God be with you.

      • Voting and campaigning are bad organizational and communications venues, because they run for the wrong goalposts. The overriding message you are sending by being an candidate is: you believe lots of wrongs can add up to a right. This is the moral equivalent of a businessman who believes he can sell each item at a loss but make it up in volume.

    • Yes, Dan is a good man, and just about the perfect guy for the job. Excellent blend of idealism and street savvy.

About the voting, no, voting won’t get out of this mess. But it can put the right people into the appropriate local- and state-level positions so that when it hits the fan, they (we) inherit mass-mind legitimacy.

The state legislature is the perfect place for a restoration-minded Constitutionalist…

      Tom

  6. Given the fact that it’s now mainstream to publicly acknowledge the fact that shit has left the building and is definitely on it’s way towards the fan.. Leadership is Important, So is a voice. Gotta be heard to be recognized.. this means gun owners, liberty lovers, god fearing, ( and the not-so-god fearing) Patriots.. the survivalists, the 10thers, the 2a’rs the preppers, whatever you prefer…We are in a shit storm..anyone with the magentas to step into the light and be recognized, to challenge the emperor’s defenses on everyone behalf has my support….

    • Lots of “I will not comply”, civil disobedience coming…besides unConstitutional Obummercare’s tentacles the domestic enemies in the Out House actually are going for the ultimate history fail, the attack on culture, traditions and fundamental religious beliefs using their useful quisling homosexuals against houses of worship. Suicidal. But let’s goad them, defy them and enrage them to take action. And when it starts let’s not stop til all statist nonsense in past 100 years or so is eradicated. The rest of the country will be playing video games regardless.

Dan, take the fucking gun with you. 😉

    • +1. He will be in enemy territory with crosshairs on his back. That being said, I’m all for getting as many clear thinking individuals as we can standing at the edge of the pit. They can point out the ones who need taken out first.

    • +1
Take two and make damn sure they are loaded.

You know they say Guy Fawkes was the only man to ever enter Parliament with honest intentions. Maybe Dan can clean out the stables down on Capital ave.

  12. Dan, not to throw a stinkbomb on your effort, but a push to bury the treacherous Republican Party should be the utmost goal of all conservatives and libertarians alike. The party of Lincoln has proven time and against that they have no taste for serving any conservative cause, and have stabbed Americans on every issue from global corporate bailouts’ to the newly minted Obamatrade sell-out of American sovereignty ,and have failed to raised a collective voice in support stemming the tide of invasion of the golden horde. A pox on that party. I could never in good conscience ever cast another vote for any candidate with an R after his name.

That said, there is a new a strain of libertarianism afoot, which would broadly encompass the belief system of conservatives and libertarians alike and it’s becoming known a National Libertarianism .There remains a lot of work to done with the brand, but in the long run, I think it could perhaps supplant the perfidious Republican brand of all talk and no action.

    A Realistic Libertarianism
    By Hans-Hermann Hoppe

In a covenant founded for the purpose of protecting family and kin, there can be no tolerance toward those habitually promoting life-styles incompatible with this goal. They – the advocates of alternative, non-family and kin-centred lifestyles such as, for instance, individual hedonism, parasitism, nature-environment worship, homosexuality, or communism – will have to be physically removed from society, too, if one is to maintain a libertarian order. (Democracy the God that failed).

And then there Vance on Republican apparatchiks kowtowing to empty left-wing rhetoric.

Sixth, discrimination means freedom. A free society must include the freedom to discriminate, not only against someone because he is gay, but because he is straight—or obese, bulimic, attractive, ugly, handicapped, tall, short, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, Protestant, agnostic, married, single, divorced, transgendered, Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative, young, old, pregnant, or named Jeb Bush.

  13. “A Conservative commentator has tearfully urged the Republican Party to accept gay marriage to prevent the party becoming a “relic”. Speaking in an interview with CNN shortly after the historic Supreme Court decision to legalise same-sex marriage was handed down on Friday, S.E. Cupp was moved to tears as she explained gay people just wanted “the human dignity the rest of us have”

    Good riddance I say.
