Oscar Sierra: ISIS Releases Video Of Alleged Russian Airplane Mid-Air Exposion After It Claims Responsibility For Disaster

ZH posts the story.

UK Daily Mail coverage.

Wow – sure glad that no one is claiming that IS is a Sunni/Saudi/US/UK/Israeli creation.

And that no one in the USG executed on a covert plan to get MANPADs to the anti-Assad insurgency in Syria, part of which is IS.

And that Syria is not a decades-long Soviet Russian ally.

That would be bad.

  1. Reading the posts ZH piece I noted this in the header — http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-10-31/shantytown-stockton-california-usa — Stockton shantytown and the author blames it on the Chinese.

It wasn’t MANPADS. The plane blew up at 31K feet. Stingers top out at 25K feet, and you have to be lined up perfectly to avoid a tail chase to get them to do that. ISIS isn’t going to grab them out of the box, read a badly translated instruction sheet, and manage that.

It could be done with a full blown SAM system, but the rest of the evidence suggests against it. The pilot had already reported a problem and requested permission to return to Cairo before they lost contact with the plane. Maybe there was a bomb, maybe some kind of other sabotage, but it almost certainly wasn’t a missile.

  3. That would be a bad idea for isis to be killing Russian citizens en mass, Russia doesn’t exactly place nice when trifled with.
And regarding the Syria – Russian ally sentence, american thinker put up interesting article recently – The Historic Roots of Russian Expansionism in the Middle East: http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2015/10/the_historic_roots_of_russian_expansionism_in_the_middle_east.html. Most people just see Russia as the former soviet union but it’s actually got some many twists and turns that happened before it became that; that there is usually something motivating Russian motives that the majority doesn’t see and especially the pathetic executive branch currently in office.

  4. Yep, as much as I like Stockton, it has been decimated by the 3rd world. When I was a kid, it was cattle and roping country. Sacramento is the landed gentry, homo/lesbo paradise, and the 3rd world. Those of us who are white, middle class, and fairly educated have slipped out to the suburbs, as far as the Prius/Volt/Subaru can carry us while making a living.
The Russian plane crash is tragic, like all plane crashes. People wanting a good time, children being children, and then the world intrudes. If ISIS is stupid and egotistical enough to take credit, then let them! They will soon find out that the Spetsnaz is not restriced like the Seals or Delta. Vlad the Resurrectionist has no qualms about being vigilant and victorious. He will demand 3 scalps for every Russian killed and more for the children. I will be taking notes for future reference when The Festivities start on our side of the fence.

  5. Let’s see about nyet. This jet took off from a remote point in Egypt…somewhere between hell and damnation. Egypt is full of muslim brotherhood and is most likely the birth place of fanatical islamic terrorism. How much trouble would it have been for some airport worker to smuggle some sort of device on the plane during preparation for boarding. Let’s not forget…it was a radio infused with explosives that brought down Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie.

Surprising coming from pbs. Just watched and details the destruction the west has wrought on Syria. Reporter doesn’t flinch when told west backed FSA morphed into ISIS.

  7. There’s always one source out there in cyberland, but this one claims ISIS is known to have at least one SAM battery capable of doing the job: http://www.militaryfactory.com/smallarms/weapons-of-isis.asp

The problem I have with the video is, the jet was supposedly flying at over 30,000ft. How does the ISIS supplied video fit with that bit of alleged data?

    • Video is not from the ground to an aircraft at 31,000 feet, aircraft is too ‘distinct’; even with telephoto lens. No missle contrail, this time of year in the northern hemisphere, you’ll have contrails – or missle plume. There’s more, but I’m calling b.s. on the claim. But I do hope Russia believes it, and says ‘ sic ’em, Spetznaz…” count on Putin to not nitpick with pansy-assed R.O.E., and let slip the dogs of war…

    • Obama supplied isis with a cesna chase plane that flew just under it. Duh.

Obama originally air dropped that cesna for the 5 moderates we spent billions to train.

  8. The Zero Hedge brothers just posted this.
Captured live on video. The center can’t hold:

  10. Pilot contact first regarding problems & commences a rapid descent… explosive decompression of some kind?

  11. Pam Geller posted the video of the plane before it crashed, at the 15 second mark a white smoke cloud is visible, that was the initial explosion.

Without any smoke trails to indicate a SAM, my take on this is an internal explosion from a bomb, probably in the center or rear luggage storage area, obviously the poor quality of the video doesn’t allow for determining exactly where, but it appears to be near the center or rear of the plane. And that placement makes sense, anyway, because of the plane design.

  12. It was a bomb. What other reason would there be for someone to track THAT particular aircraft on video?

I presume the Russians are planning a large scale offensive right now.
