General James ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis Email About Being ‘Too Busy To Read’ Is A Must-Read

Know conflict.

Which means knowing people.

Who haven’t changed very much in 5,000 years.

Modernity notwithstanding.

Yep. Exactly how I operate now.

Comes with a downside though. The yammerings of some that at first blush were intuitively questionable become down right repulsive with more intimate knowledge. 😉

  3. From the article, “Ultimately, a real understanding of history means that we face NOTHING new under the sun.”
True of everything. empires, countries and regions have be taken down by letting in people they shouldn’t have. empires, countries and regions have overspent themselves into serious trouble, so much so that they manipulated their currency and eventually many defaulted financially. empires, countries and regions eventually were overtaken by others militarily. You would think in today’s information age, that the west wouldn’t follow so many same patterns; but they are. So pathetic is leadership of the west. It would have taken Merkel about one day to figure how muslims treat the locals when they move in in mass, now her whole country is on fire and wanting her to resign.

  4. “Rommel, you magnificent bastard. I read your book!”

  5. S’pose there’s any chance we can get the good General to come out of retirement & join FreeFor? Hope springs eternal…

  6. Probably not.
    He might lose his pension.

  7. General Mattis today expressed sorrow on his Facebook page that Glen Frey had passed away. Not.

Jeremiah 17:9… “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

Nothing has changed at all. Reading is fundamental. Begin with the book of Romans (KJB). It is paramount above anything else and will further the understanding of our position far beyond what most imagine.
