    You can scratch “briefly” from that line. And get this…we are eons away from any sort of capitulation. This is merely the overture and the bond markets will be obliterated in the coming months. “Watch the bonds.”

    Only a trillion? What’s the cause for worry? Why, on the day of Sept 10’th 2001 Donald Rumsfeld admitted that the Pentagram had “misplaced” 2.2 trillion or some such. And then the offices were destroyed. No harm, no foul… nothing to see here.

        I concur Lineman. Been thinking along the lines of barter. Ammo for milk etc. village market, farmers market and that sort of thing. But thinking that it could be extended to skills. Everyone in the shire has skills to some degree. So if one wants to be included they sign up. Charges and credits kept so that one might do some work for you, and then you would provide work for someone else. Your electrical work for me and then I doing welding repairs for your neighbor. Everyone provides some skills even if it is simply chopping wood for ole Matt who has some of the best milk cows in the county. Just thinking out loud. Someone like me who has no skills but being a mercenary … well I go steal from the federals and trade my booty for plumbing work which I still can’t figure out. The Kurd’s used to do that. When we were young and out chasing women and running from the cops on a Friday night the Kurd teenagers would go fire up one of Saddam’s storage units taking what they could and run like hell for home while laying down suppressive fire. I enjoyed their stories, so in the end we will create our own tales of daring and doing. And have our economy too. GRIN.

    The Orpheum Theater in Boston was a regular venue for J Geils. Magic Dick could wail. The only one, who in my opinion, compared was Butterfield. Considered it a honor to be in the same building plying my trade..
