Sounds like a class action suit ought to be filed. Many citizens may want to join in this court action. All of this “dry firing” is simply conditioning for slaughtering innocents. Not only the sargeant who ordered this excercise in STUPIDity, but also the entire department command and maybe the mayor and some council-IDIOTS should also be named in the suit. That is the thing about class action; work it correctly and the wave beats the shXX out of the whole sandy beach.
Never, ever trust the police. Never, ever call the police. They are not your friends, your defenders, or your protectors. They will kill you just for sport. They are very good at that.

  2. it is only a matter of time before a cop, victim of this idiocy, conditioned by training, drops the cop dry firing on him/her. How are they to know the difference? They would see it as a pulled weapon with a misfire, why wait for the hammer to fall again or for the perp cop to go through remedial action?
Natural reaction to a weapon pulled on you is not a lawsuit, it is to eliminate the threat.. same same for Tamir Rice. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
That was stupid, even for Washington, D.C.!

  3. “I can tell you there are about seven different versions of the incident that are out there,” MPD Chief Cathy Lanier told reporters on Monday. “I’m not sure which or how many of those that you’ve heard, but I prefer to wait until I see some facts and some direct statements of what happened before I make a judgment.”

There are seven different versions because the reports and the versions of truth/fiction they represent each end up being treated like ballots in a popular vote. Whoever has the most write ups supporting their version of events is the one who wins.

The facts are irrelevant. Like the Roman mob it’s all about the numbers.

    • …this is the money statement: ‘seven different versions’ (in a room full of street cops under no viable pressure). WTF? So this is clear evidence that in any type of police situation with multiple police ‘witlessness” that there is no accurate account other than what fits the narrative at the time? Classic, but I (that would be just me of course) suspect that all police encounters/activities are just training episodes. Who knew?

      • When it’s 7 cops vs you there are 7 votes for one version of ‘the facts’ vs the 1 vote for yours. You lose. Hence the reason that videos by citizens are strongly discouraged.

For Amerika to maintain its delusion of socialist realism, the objective truth can’t be allowed to interfere with the official facts.

  4. Next time, make sure the gun’s loaded.

    Po-po roulette!

  5. Only problem I see is that the gun was not loaded.

  6. Only problem I see is that they all weren’t pointing their guns at each other, and pulling the trigger!

  7. The Usual Suspect

Fucking idiots, he is lucky another po po did not pop
a cap on him when he pointed his pistol .
They fire automatically at your Springer Spaniel.

  8. Saw the story linked at Brock’s place, both of them should be forbidden from owning or shooting any firearms for the rest of their lives. I’d really like to see both of them locked up for 5 or 6 years, but the blue line would disagree, and stupidity isn’t illegal.

    • But what the cop did WAS illegal. It’s called assault with a deadly weapon. And if you or I would have done that, there’s no doubt we’d be in jail awaiting a preliminary hearing…

How is it that this stupid cop is still wearing a badge? I have no patience or tolerance for this kind of crap.
