Why Yankees Won’t (And Can’t) Leave the South Alone

Do not think that any traditional American will escape the scrutiny of the Utopians.

You may not be interested in fundamental transformation.

But fundamental transformation is very much interested in you.

  1. jumped the track @ “Aaron Burr, political scoundrel”. Burr killed that ratfuck bankster Hamilton and did all sorts of other wonderful things: as for, instance, refusing the Presidency rather than sell-out (as Jefferson did) to the Federalists. Once again: if certain Southron Cavaliers want to fly their flag in public places, next time: Win. Don’t lose

  2. SC has some traitors who are working to destroy our southern, Christian civilization. Here are a few of them, there will be more, lots more.

We intend to ruin their political careers AND their economic life.

Reward your friends, punish your enemies.

This one is NOT one of us, she is of the other.

      Pat Hines/2May16@02:53,

“Yeh, mebbe so, but if they’re pro-gun/pro-God/pro-Uhmurrakuh they’re aw raht”, right? ‘Boll weevils’/their sycophants aren’t limited to The SOUTH!®.

“Reward your friends, punish your enemies.”

Generally an honorable (& also smart) philosophy IF used w/ discernment which is usually the toughest part, e.g., non-Southerners/non-SOUTHRONS!® being de facto Yankees & thus automatically suspect. Regarding ‘Nikki’ (Mahavishnu Ramalamadingdong) Haley being the ‘other’, no argument from me, but then my interpretation of that term doubtless differs from yours/similar’s.

Brother if Forrest McDonald’s worthy essay isn’t the roots of cultural marxism I don’t know what is. I can see where the Fabian’s came from. Yankees ARE the human extinction movement. (And I’m a Yankee)

The late scholar Richard M. Weaver called the Southerner a “classical man” and the Northerner a “Faustian.” The classical man, Weaver said, knew that “other things are because they have to be; one marks their nature and their limits and learns to get along with them … accepts the irremediability of a certain amount of evil and tries to fence it around instead of trying to stamp it out and thereby spreading it … [and acknowledges] the limits of power” … From this comes the Southern kind of tolerance … It is expressed in the Southerner’s easy-going ways …” The Faustian Weaver called “a man who is unhappy unless he feels he is making the world over. He may talk much of tolerance, but for him tolerance is an exponent of power … For different opinions and ways of life he has not respect, but hostility or contemptuous indifference, until the day when they can be brought around to conform with his own.”

Unfortunately the author of the linked article has a somewhat fuzzy set of beliefs of his own, as he chooses to characterize certain Reformed doctrines as caricature. He totally missed the point of grace in the Puritans…although the legalistic attitudes that he describes certainly occurred among the people. He jumps from legalism to ‘cheap grace’, both of which are fallacies.

It is very difficult to accept the notion of having free moral agency and that God is fully sovereign in human affairs. There is insufficient space to attempt an explanation here, but ultimately a consistent reading of Scripture (with a coherent understanding) leads to that as the only conclusion. The reality of this is that man’s fallen nature does tend to reject God and His Word. John Calvin would NEVER agree with the much of what is attributed in the article to reformed thinking.

The horror of much of this country’s history (beautifully summarized in CA’s set of links about “How I Learned to Reject American History and Love the [Anarchism] Bomb: Libertarian/Voluntarist Views”) shows how badly American leaders have NOT understood and intergrated God’s Word into their decisions.

For those interested in a great way to grasp a more sincere view of the Puritans and the Great Awakening, a selection of Puritan prayers have been collected in a small book ‘The Valley of Vision.’ Although the language is archaic with too many Thee’s and Thou’s (and other words whose meanings have changed in >300 yrs) it is an absolutely marvelous guide to prayer focused on the majesty and sovereignty of God which highlights our utter dependence.

Ultimately EVERYTHING discussed in this blog is a consequence of man’s arrogance and rejection of God, the desire to make MAN the measure of all things. Of course, the enemy of God clearly has another agenda. The final straw in this is the utter denial of God’s creation intent: they not only deny that God created this world, but go to the absurd notion to counter the tidbit covered in Gen 1:27 – “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” These clowns want to deny the reality people see when they drop their drawers and look between their legs! May God help us if people can decide that the genitalia they were born with shouldn’t be there…can mankind fall much farther? I truly doubt it!

    • I posted this there, I’ll post it here as well because it is so important. The Bible is actually quite easy to understand but it is far too commonly not believed. My “favorite” pastoral quote being; “I know that’s what it says, but that’s not what it means.” If I only had a dollar for every time I have heard this…

All the scriptural misunderstanding in the world; Arminian vs. Calvinist, pre or post trib rapture, etc, etc, etc… can be so easily solved with a thorough understanding of what God says to man today through the Apostle He sent to man today, Paul.

Paul is not one of the twelve. God gave him a gospel separate and distinct from that which Jesus disseminated during His earthly ministry. Come to an understanding of this most basic Biblical fact and the entire Bible falls neatly into place. Where once contradictions existed (Romans 4:1-5 / James 2:21-24, for instance) absolute clarity takes its place.

It is called Rightly Dividing Gods word. Everyone divides the Bible somewhere… most commonly between the old and new testaments. This is problematic as God never made a covenant agreement with any Gentile anywhere and there are old and new covenant agreements made with the house of Israel and the house of Judah relayed in both the old and new “testament sections” of the Bible. The division is misleading. The correct place to make a proper division is that which was spoken or prophesied since the world began (which Christ made known to the twelve – Acts 3:21); from that which God (the risen and glorified Christ) kept secret or hidden since the world began and revealed only to the Apostle Paul beginning in Acts 9 (Gal 1:11-12).

Romans 16:25-27… “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to MY GOSPEL, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the MYSTERY, which was KEPT SECRET since the world began, BUT NOW is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to ALL NATIONS for the obedience of faith: To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.”

There is a gospel (good news) given to the circumcision (Jews) and a gospel given to the uncircumcision (heathen). The Jews were as different from the heathen as oil is from water.

Galatians 2:7-9… “But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the
grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.”

Saying that the gospel of the circumcision is the same as the gospel of the uncircumcision is like saying the wife of me is the same woman as the wife of you. Things that are different cannot be the same. Comprehending the good news God has for mankind today is imperative. Eternal salvation is at stake. Christ died for our sin and was raised again for our justification. That good news comes from Paul and Paul alone. Only the King James Bible preserves these words correctly in the English language. The two separate and distinct gospel messages are deliberately erased in the above Galatian verses from all modern translations. All the confusion in all of Christianity comes from the lack of understanding this most basic Bible fact.

  6. Seems like the enemies are the Progressive Left. I know many “Yankees” who are just as disgusted as “Southerners” with this government. Ideology not geography.

  7. Puritans were the worst thing to happen to English speaking North America, they are a scourge still.

  8. My definition of a Yankee is pretty much the same as that of a Puritan. Some one that suspects that some where, some body is having a good time.

Original sin existed prior to the birth of this Republic. Despite what the Declaration of Independence plainly states (i.e., that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights….), our Forefathers (of both the ‘northern’ and ‘southern’ persuasion) did not heed this in the absolute. That this was later codified in the U.S. Constitution (and more specifically in the Bill of Rights) meant very little in application to the African population unwillingly brought to these shores.

Over time, though, those in the north came to the realization which was as plain as the nose on their face; slavery was an affront to the very principles this nation was founded upon. It was thus eradicated. Those in the South, though, refused to recognize the plain truths before them. Despite what the good book said, these Christians (i.e., Protestants) considered the non-Christian African not to be human, and therefore unworthy of Christian love.

While not the exclusive reason, the South’s bigotry towards their fellow man lead to secession. Secession begot the Civil War (or whatever you want to call it–a rose by any other name is just as sweet). The Civil War begot a power to the Federal Government not seen before. This power begot a Federalized government which now intrudes on nearly every scale, and a system of states deprived of essentially any power.

While this country’s original sin haunts us to this very day, the very acts complained of in the article are not the result of intrusive ‘yankees’, but of a South who long ago ignored the basic tenets upon which this nation was founded.

In my experience, Southerners/SOUTHRONS!® in many ways resemble the Yankees they despise & in particular mirror the Yorkie (NYC)/Joysyite attitude/behavior. Dennis Hopper (via George Hanson) made that point in the following & it isn’t restricted to The SOUTH!®/America.:

And yes, we in Western America (including, sadly, ‘Libertarian’ CA) are also guilty despite our claims to the contrary & thereby re-affirming Romans 3:23.
