Any society that berates its producers and inventors ends up like Venezuela eventually.

I can hear it already: 33 million venezuelan MIGRANTS are SIMPLY HUMAN BEINGS who need food shelter medical care and education in the United States of America. The doors are already WIDE OPEN and swingin’ in the wind….get ready……
Socialism always looks good in the short term. Stealing money works as long as there are still victims around with something to loot.
Socialism looks good because people are naturally conditioned to think in terms of family groups. Socialism works at that level – parents provide for kids, etc. The problem is that it is utterly unscalable to a larger society, but most people really don’t conceptualize that.
