Look at the glistening leather, the ties, the pressed slacks and shirts, haircuts and shaves, and the scrubbed-until-they-gleamed children.

Now we see dirty shower shoes, swim suits, and rags… 😦

    • You forgot scraggly beards, tattoos, and beer guts. – dirt people.

    • Walter Zoomie, I hear you. And these men were also fighting an honorable, just constitutional war.

      • Further, despite their brave faces and public bravado, most felt they weren’t coming home. My father, 82nd Airborne told me this. He died in ’15 at the ripe old age of 94.

  2. ‘Solve food and the specifics matter much less.’

You should be learning to grow food by doing it. It ain’t easy but it’s learnable. Every location is different but the basics are soil sun and water. Learn about it. Kenny has a link over at WC to a guy that does some awesome breakdowns on how to do it, but at the end of the day, ya gotta do it. Also would not hurt for you to learn up on edibles in your area as the time to til may be limited.

  4. The Usual Suspect

One needs to go no further than issue 398, they are the numbers
in the top righthand corner, after you open the Woodpile.
You will find the French in the same predicament then as now, and
the calls to reckoning almost verbatim.
