  1. One of the very best ‘Good Ones’……….R.I.P.

  2. De Heer is mijn herder,
    mij zal niets ontbreken.
Hij brengt mij naar groene weiden
laat me rusten aan het water.
    Hij geeft mij kracht
en leidt me langs veilige paden
    zoals hij beloofd heeft.
Al ga ik door een diepdonker dal
ik hoef geen gevaar te duchten
want u, Heer, bent bij me,
uw staf en uw stok beschermen mij.
Heer, u nodigt mij uit aan uw tafel
    mijn tegenstanders moeten het aanzien;
u zalft mijn hoofd met balsem,
u vult mijn beker tot de rand.
Uw goedheid, uw liefde ervaar ik
    mijn leven lang,
in uw huis mag ik wonen,
    tot in lengte van dagen.

  3. God speed Mr. V and prayers for his family, I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for coming to CT when you did, I was there and it made an impression that will stay with me forever.

Flawed as we all are, but he made a huge impact for good here in the US. I trust he’s in a better place and its up to the rest of us to fill the void and keep pushing on. Let’s make sure his struggle wasn’t wasted.

Requiem aeternam dona eis Domine. Godspeed Mike. your work here is done. Ours will start soon. We are better for having heard you, we are worse for losing you. You have earned your place in Valhalla.

  6. Sorry to hear of his passing. May his family and friends find
    peace and understanding.

You know, a few days ago I passed along a link:
    thetruthaboutcancer dot com
Cancer is a symptom which expands from stage one and
on, usually within a twenty to twenty five year process.
There are ways to BOOST the body, mind and soul, and
make ones “temple” hostile to foreign environments.

    “Harm no one”

Alabama – Reminds me of the time I sat with a Supreme
Court Judge (Justice See), as we both shed some tears
years ago while speaking of things to come.

Reblogged this on ETC., ETC., & ETC..

  8. MikeV: Thanks for being someone who actually took action and for your honesty. I note with sadness the occasion of your promotion.

Vfamily: While not unexpected, it is still a shock to the mind and heart. May the passage of time and the love of each other assuage your grief. This may be of little comfort, but know that Mike will not be forgotten, even by many who never had the privilege to meet him or know him personally.

  9. God speed Mike.

    My condolences.

  10. 2 Timothy 4:7 applies to him: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

    He’s home…

  11. The loss of one of our main thought leaders leaves a void. The rest of us will soldier on.

    • “What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.” Pericles.

  12. ODGreen and family extend our heartfelt sympathies to Mikes’ family. Our prayers are with you.
Day is done, gone the sun,
    From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.

  13. Remember the good.
    Let the rest go.

The best testament that can be lived.

  14. From an earlier post” If you consider yourself to be III% it is because of Mike Vanderboegh from Sipsey street irregulars the founder of the movement

When a lot of us in the patriot movement thought that we were alone we stumbled across SSI and found out that in fact, we were not

Mike voiced, and eloquently I might say, what was on the mind of millions of concerned Americans

He managed to take his thoughts and convictions and turn them into a national movement

The III% went from obscurity into a burgeoning liberty movement that has become a juggernaut

The principles of the III% will not pass just because Mike does

He instilled in many the thought that no matter how small the number ,we could still fight if we so willed it

Mike is now in the last few final weeks of this life as all of us someday will be

But we could only hope that in our end we could accomplish as much as he did

Farewell and hats off to you Mr. Vanderboegh, you will be missed

“But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.

And when we are gone, the scattered, free survivors hiding in the ruins of our once-great republic will sing of our deeds in forbidden songs, tending the flickering flame of individual liberty until it bursts forth again, as it must, generations later. We will live forever, like the Spartans at Thermopylae, in sacred memory.

    — Mike Vanderboegh

    • Juggernaut? The 3% couldn’t even hold a closed Federal building in Oregon.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

      • jessejames87

You’re just all heart. Exceptionally classy…

      • Which part of not starting the fight is hard for you to wrap your mind around Detroit?
        “no first use of force”
Because of their initiation of the action those of us that wanted to help could not in good conscience.

        Three Percent Catechism.

These four principles — moral strength, physical readiness, no first use of force and no targeting of innocents — are the hallmarks of the Three Percent ideal. Anyone who cannot accept them as a self-imposed discipline in the fight to restore the Founders’ Republic should find something else to do and cease calling themselves a “Three Percenter.”

  15. We of the southern nationalist movement wish him no evil. Like many of us, he was a deeply flawed man, with tremendous redeeming qualities.

    Memory eternal.

  16. I have no words adequate to express the debt which each and everyone of us owes to Mike Vanderboegh, nor to give an accounting of the courage and intelligence of his battles for Liberty.

We are so much richer for his example and efforts and poorer for his passing. Who will fill that void?

I offer this, that there is relief for the end of his physical suffering, and joy that he is now in Peace and Glory with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  17. Godspeed you Mike.

  18. Condolences to Mike’s family – may they be comforted by their memories of him, and the fact that they had the opportunity to know and love him for so long. I only knew him through his blog, but I will miss him.

Let them, and all the rest of us, remember that he would not have wanted us to be paralyzed by this loss, big though it is. He would have wanted us to continue the fight to preserve our liberties and our way of life…and I plan to do just that.

  19. Thanks for all your hard work and deeds for the citizens of this country Mike, hope to meet you in the next life.My condolences to the family and friends of Mike.

  20. Someone should start a GoFundMe to raise money to pay John Ross to finish ‘Absolved’.

RIP, Mike, You were a great man and will not be forgotten.

  21. Thoughts prayers and thanks to you sir…

Now I return to his site with the hopes I can rekindle his words and inspiration through his archived files.

  22. HHH Old Vet.

    Rest in peace Brother Mike.

  23. A quick journey that we are on. All you leave behind is what you have done for others. Mike gave to others.
The NAACP is in mourning. They must find a new person to demonize.

  24. This is not a good day.
I will really miss a guy I never met.

  25. Steve Kristmann

Mike, you will be missed, more than you know!
May you lift high a flagon of Mead in Valhalla,
    you’ve certainly earned it!!

May your family and friends be comforted in this
time of sorrows yet remember that you live on in
    them and many others!

    Yours In Liberty!

  26. Got to shake his hand at the I-594 rally at the Washington Capital almost 2 years ago. He saw us wearing III% patches and said, “You know I started that!”

  29. Ah, yes!
    The stench of hypocritical censorship
    born of Constitutionalists/patriots smells
    the strongest.
    Nothing says “Freedom” like disallowing
    unrestricted comments and speech.
Justify it any way you wish, but that’s
    all it is.
As the communists, enemies of our
Republic and traitors continue to whip
your asses with that tactic, Patriotic
whining and crying is not allowed.

  30. He educated and inspired countless people. I count myself among them. Thanks for everything, Mike.

  31. He was a soldier of freedom. Honor him.

    Enter Valhalla
    Patriot Mike Vanderboegh
    You fought the good fight.

  33. May the good Lord embrace you, Mike. May His blessings rain on your family, and give them comfort.

I was a contributing member at another forum, The Upland Journal, many years ago. Another member, then currently serving in combat in the sandbox, posted Mike’s article “What Good Can A Handgun Do?” in its entirety.

I sought out Mike, and wrote to him a note of thanks via email. He appreciated the note, but told me that if I wanted to direct any others to that essay, to please send them to the Western Rifle Shooters’ Association. And so that’s what brought me here.

May the memory of his vision and tenacity keep us focused and steadfast in the coming fight.
