One above; many more here.
Reblogged this on FOR GOD AND COUNTRY.
pretty good. I noticed a couple things…comparing this to the real deal in the vids coming out of Syria – too much upright posture when moving – and some leaving behind of MT magazines. In a real firefight, getting small might mean survival (one of my exercises during PT is a fast combat roll along the ground) and in a real CW, magazines will be precious as ammunition.
That was known to us as an Australian peel 40+ yrs ago, and we were taught (in Marine Recon) as you finished firing your last mag dump, turn towards your units rear, move out in that direction and tap the next guy on the shoulder to let him know he was now the last man in line. In all that noise and confusion, there is no way to realize that you are suddenly the new point man unless someone makes body contact or yells in your ear, “tag, you’re it!”
Do your mag change while moving and then set up again to repeat the peel, or move out to your last rally point.
