  1. That’s the kind of thing posted in every classroom in America that would inspire young boys and men in the battle to become free men and citizens of the Republic.

  2. You would be very hard pressed to find this in our manuals today.

  3. And the origin of our enemy ((( Communism )))? Can’t be goy!

  4. “Men can not live without faith…”

Faith in what? Totally nondescript in the above.

    • Well, if you can’t figure it out by the graphic provided and underscored by a knowledge of US and world history, then shame on ya! 😉

      • Faith in a catholic crusader? (not me brother)

Faith has an object (one would hope the God of the Bible, Jesus Christ) AND content… knowledge and trust in what God is currently up to (key word, currently). Currently, He wants to see all men saved and to know truth (1 Tim 2:3-4); not “crusaded”. My own convictions therein are very strong.

If I have faith that God will do something He is not currently engaged in (MAGA for example (as in, 2 Chron 7:14), as God has no covenant agreements with America), my faith is misplaced. No? Faith then needs to be specific and based on current Biblical reality. The above picture and caption does not inspire appropriate or correct faith in me. Ann Barnhardt, (useful religious zealot tool) surely…

One fights communism first with better ideas, and if that fails, then with force if it imposes itself upon us. It is not a religious battle, religion need not enter in. PLEASE however, do not forget or underestimate the depths to which the Bible will be used against believers. The “early church” as most are want to call and claim it, is a JEWISH church… a Temple (read Acts 1-4 KJB). Peter and the 11 are Jews who understood the prophesied Jewish Messiah came to their nation (Gods covenant people) Israel. It WAS communistic – Acts 4:32-35. National Israel acted (and currently acts) directly against such prophesied truth (while using it against others).

Believers today are NOT a part of it no matter how much they claim otherwise. This is the foundation of the “christian” social justice movement. It is a HUGE problem. Such is used to the usurpation and destruction of the true Christian church (those whose faith is in the faith OF Christ to save them – Gal 2:16) the body of Christ. Paul rightly instructs us to work for our own living – 2 Thes 3:10-12. Paul is a capitalist. Peter, thus the catholic church, is communist at heart, even if individual catholics scream otherwise. Do you see where this current pope is going? It could not be more clear. It has been a long progressive journey which seems to be coming to a head.

        • You missed the point….entirely.

            • The point of the entire post was 3 fold: Something to point to the purpose of education, which is sorely needed today (IMHO); something to point to the Founding Principles and Spirit of the Nation being key to our country enduring; and that without faith, we cannot win, because we will not sacrifice above and beyond for our posterity.

The crusader graphic was intended to underscore visually that without faith in God, one cannot hope to overcome insurmountable odds. Consider: The Muslim enemy that soldier fought, and who’s blood was on his tunic, sword, and face cared little if he was under the influence of the Pope or Luther. The Muslim saw the cross, and tried to kill the man wearing it. It was not to endorse Catholicism over Protestantism or vice versa. Simple statement: “The hole in our armor is lack of faith…” it’s up to each of us to determine how to apply that faith, Rather than read something into the motivational quote above and defend your own values and beliefs (that were not under any attack whatsoever) I’d suggest we let others figure out their own way, such as the solution in Phillipians 2:12, rather than turning what has inspired untold numbers of troops into something its not.

              Just my thoughts on it….

“Ann Barnhardt, (useful religious zealot tool) surely…”

I have read some of her articles and subsequent commentaries about the current state of the existing catholic church, it’s hierarchy, and it’s ongoing recent corruption starting with John XXIII through the current pretender. She is no fan of the church as it is today.

My point to your comment (): Everyone professing to be a “Christian Believer” does so either boldly or not so boldly, but always in the bounds of their family history, what they understand, and beliefs born out of personal experiences. I don’t necessary agree with every view point you have expressed on this forum, but I would not presume to criticize you because it’s your spiritual belief.

Everyone on this forum, by definition, expresses “their opinions…usually about politics, and philosophy.” Those concepts in my book are fair game, but a person’s belief in a religion, (to me)is off limits. And for those that want to get ahead of me here….no, I don’t consider Islam a religion!

Anyway, I never thought that I would see the day that you throw a high hard one at anothers head. And (here’ my act of contrition) at the obvious the sake of my own hypocrisy, to put it kindly, I am saddened by the intent of your comment.

As much as you may detest the Roman Church, it was that same group which held Christendom together for centuries when it was being overtaken by Muslim hordes bent on slaughter and conquest. I am not near the august biblical scholar you are. However, I seem to recall a passage which says something to the effect that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Also, isn’t there something about the mote in our brother’s eye and the plank in our own?
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Islam must be totally destroyed down to the last man, woman and child. In spite of what the current crop of Jesuit pedophile Marxist theologians and Frank Bergoglio opine, the West is in a battle for its very survival. I will stand with any Catholic, Protestant, Jew, or Buddhist who will fight these homicidal psychotics. Those terrible Crusaders you deplore had the right idea. Distance and logistics defeated them. Sad.

  5. One of the things I do to evaluate my enemies, and their strengths and weaknesses, is to very simply, discover their frame of reference. And this too, is a very simple process. If my enemies’ frame of reference is not based in Judeo-Christian morality, then they are enemies indeed, always, and forever. If my enemies’ frame of reference IS based on Judeo-Christian morality, then I have to re-evaluate myself and my position, and re-evaluate my enemy. We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep.

  7. The Usual Suspect

One of my favorite quotes from Vice Admiral James Stockdale
    a true American hero.

“Another long pause, and more walking. Then he turned to me and said, “This is a very important lesson. You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end – which you can never afford to lose – with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.”

  8. Faith — meaning belief contrary to evidence — is an error in thinking. Faith makes you a mental slave to the con man’s patter you’ve allowed into your head to become part of your personality. Confronting the facts includes the fact that faith is always incorrect thinking.

    • Or it works for some folks, just as your worldview works for you.

      Tolerance, bro.

Or as was ref’d in (I think) the first Conan flick:

Never jest about another man’s gods.

    • Then it would follow that anyone who has faith (belief contrary to evidence) in themselves to learn a particular skill or concept (such as reading or attaining the enlightenment of discovering that existence is not simply chance, let’s say), without evidence of success in a given endeavor, would be committing an error in thinking and therefore is a slave to a con man. How, then, would one explain the Wright brothers, Edison, Tesla, Mozart, Dickens, you, anyone you respect as a role model, etc, etc, etc? Each of us has someone who has faith in our potential; each of us must have faith in ourselves to rise above the condition we find ourselves in without success: ignorance and inability.
