Molyneux On Syria

By what legitimate authority has the United States government bombed and invaded Syria?

Show your work.

Then ask yourself if the same rationale could and should be used vis a vis Mexico.

  1. Yes indeed World Police – GWOT – WMD part deux – False Flagging the USA via Deep Zio-State Fed Reserve into the planned debt crisis after the planned global economic collapse coming & eventual WWlll that all International Bankers use as the reason for the reset. Same crew that brought the planet WWl & WWll & still at it. Watching the controlled demolition of a system while people pissing down our backs & telling us it’s raining isn’t anyone’s idea of fun. Go USA Go USA ….

  2. how much more of this same ole shit do we go through before you rah rah war mongers on this site realize the US is the bad guy?
Didnt Smedely Butler teach you brain dead idiots anything?

    • Smedley was naught but a senile and petulant shill for the Communist Party & their minions and useful idiots after his enforced retirement from the Corps, which for discretion, the USMC doesn’t harp on much.

Please, pick a better mouthpiece. William Z. Foster, perhaps, or Gus Hall.
Otherwise Butler is about as savory an exemplar as Lee Harvey Oswald, and for exactly the same reasons.

How ’bout a little proof Fable-Boy? I’ve heard a lot of shit before – but that’s a new one. The only commies at the time were the ‘crip’ Roosevelt and his entire “tribesmen” cabinet and sycophants, not to mention his predecessors.

    • He died of alcoholism, right?

    • I don’t know, go hold up a fucking sign, maybe beat a few asses to show how pissed off you are at the violence you are complaining about. I didnt see anyone with any enlighted ideas on how to fix this mess when it came time to vote did you??….. maybe because the choice to do NOTHING is no longer a choice.. maybe its time to just start fighting like we fucking mean it.. maybe war mongering needs to be amped up to real war,… maybe Americans need to die enmass instead of this onesies twosies bullshit that people dont pay attention too…. because all this fucking around doesnt seem to be doing anything.. maybe launching 1000 planes with a thousand moabs will make people realize that car bombs and chopping off heads is childs play. up the ante!… does that make me a war monger?.. or just another guy sick of pussy footing around with the same old problems being handled the same old do-nothing way. we gotta either shit, or get off the fucking pot.. but if we are there to shit. we better shit in a big way… Brain dead?… that would be doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result..

  4. By 2025 the US will find it a necessity, for national security reasons, to bomb jihadist bases in both MX and Canucky unless E. Warren is elected and then the bombings will occur inside CONUS

    • Let’s hope the Mexicans or Syrians working the taco trucks that roll out to the flight line at break time doesn’t poison all the workers. On purpose, that is.

  5. By what legitimate authority…

    Well, lemme see…
    Ah, here it is:

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States. Article II, Section 2, United States Constitution, 1787
    Along with:
[The Congress shall have Power…] To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water; – Article I, Section 8, clause 11, United States Constitution, 1787
Amplified and proscribed (never tested in court) by the War Powers Act of 1973, 50 U.S.C. 1541-1548
“It provides that the U.S. President can send U.S. Armed Forces into action abroad only by declaration of war by Congress, “statutory authorization,” or in case of “a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces.”

The War Powers Resolution requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30-day withdrawal period, without a Congressional authorization for use of military force (AUMF) or a declaration of war by the United States.” – Wikipedia

Hope that clears up any confusion.
Last I looked, B.H.O. his ownself sent troops into Syria as far back as last June, and the Congress has continued to authorize those ongoing operations, subject to the orders of the military commanders with jurisdiction (CENTCOM and downward), which is how bomb strikes get approved, and subject to Pentagon R.O.E.s.

There is, to reasonable view, no reason to suppose we couldn’t do the same thing to start bombing Mexico. Other than the prudent requirement to finish building the wall first, and then round up the illegals here as fifth columnists, along with those who would seditiously aid and abet such treasonous nonsense (going back only to about the Immigration & Nationality Act of 1965), and lay on enough spare crowd control help in the 50 states for the spontaneous cheering and celebrating in the streets such events would unleash, we could start tomorrow.

More to Molyneux’s worry is the observation that the same is true of Quebec, which would certainly threaten his status, but likely endear us to the hearts of the people in the other nine provinces and three territories of our Canadian neighbor.

Personally, though, the Canucks should just ship the Francophones back to France, as they should have done after the Seven Years’ War in 1763, and let their cousins deal with them. Paris could use the help with the Diversity in Frankistan anyways, and les Quebecois are just provincially surly and annoying enough to be up to the task.

    • One might ask why Congress has not recinded the WPA. The answer of course is simple. To follow the USC would require both action and ACCOUNTABILITY. Those are two condition CongressCritters prefer to avoid. Using the WPR they can let the Executive Branch take the heat and snipe on the sidelines without any consequence for their lack of action.

    • Grey Ghost

The WPA is unconstitutional and anyone reading the Constitution with a clear mind can tell it is so. Thank you for providing the Constitutional citation that states only the Congress can declare war. If we are “going after” MX and plan on dropping bombs and sending in troops then I say that is a war and Congress must declare it so.

The WPA is just a legal way for the criminal politician gangs to not have to stand up in front of the citizens of the U.S. and PUBLICLY vote FOR a war and thereby be held accountable for the treasure that is squandered and for all the sons and daughters that they send to their death for the reason du jour. So in order to avoid this political problem and to get reelected the criminal politicians pass a law (WPA) that allows “temporary” use of troops which they will keep on authorizing and funding ad infinitum. This means in effect the U.S. Congress has successfully and illegitimately bypassed the Constitution (Art 1 Sec 8 clause 11) for political reasons. Since the passage of the WPA, the U.S. has been no better than some banana Republic with a lot of nukes and never will be until the repeal of the WPA or SCOTUS strikes it down which is about as likely as a snow storm in hell.

      Grey Ghost

    • Thank you, Aesop.

  6. “Legal” is not synonymous with “legitimate”.

And that’s assuming that the WPA, being contrary to the USC, is “legal”.

    • “Legal” is not synonymous with “legitimate”.
CA It just might be in his mind with some of the things he has been writing lately…Just Saying…

    • Actually, it’s exactly the same thing.

      le·git·i·mate adjective
      1. conforming to the law or to rules.
      synonyms: legal, lawful, licit, legalized, authorized, permitted, permissible, allowable, allowed, admissible, sanctioned, approved, licensed, statutory, constitutional;

Now, if you want to make the question “By what moral authority…etc.”, you’ve actually come up with a distinction with a difference, but in using moral rulers to judge governments, you’re on your own.

      And you didn’t ask that.

      • Understand your point and expected that reply.

There are then no bounds to “legitimacy” then, as long as some group of people (with guns) write down a rule about a proposed behavior and deem it “law” via some process that those same people (or their predecessors) also wrote down?

Working within the bounds of “legal”, “lawful”, and “legitimate” here, as you know.

And the point is to illustrate that evil will always try to justify its lusts via codified “authority” of the action.

        • Therein lies the vicissitude – delimma – mire – perplexity – conundrum – catch -22 – impasse – quandary – pickle – strait etc. of the deliberate chaos being foisted.

Way past the Rubicon & into a fringe Sea change abyss void of the unknown. It has been that way for years. But, you already knew that. The PTB know that too which is why NATO / UN was designed as their backup plan & covered they’re six or so they think. Pick one or make up your own. Terrorist – Freedom Fighter – Guerrilla – Activist – Provacateur – Patriot – Rebel – Moderate Rebel – Citizen – Victim – Subject – Innocent bystander – Conscientious objector – dead – alive – clergy – nun – press et al etc.

“The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use them.”
          Philip K. Dick

“You will be required to do wrong no matter where you go. It is the basic condition of life, to be required to violate your own identity. At some time, every creature which lives must do so. It is the ultimate shadow, the defeat of creation; this is the curse at work, the curse that feeds on all life. Everywhere in the universe.”
          Philip K. Dick

Which bring us into the duality of man’s nature. That is the dilemma we will all be faced with to justify our actions – choices – decisions when the Balloon goes up…

          • oneoftheusualsuspects

Words have meaning……or not. This guy is on the cutting edge of the cultural war. Dismiss him and remain ignorant.

        • Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” – John Adams

Friend John was simply saying you get what you pray for.

This what happens 25 years after people decide that character doesn’t matter when selecting leaders.

        • Also, delegitimizing what we’re doing in Syria has other consequences:
You’ve basically rolled up everything the United States has done back to 1787, in one fell swoop, and everything every government has done, back before recorded history.

It’s a neat trick, but it leaves you with nothing, including a leg to stand on.

As I said, you can re-phrase the question, but you can’t use Humpty Dumpty’s Rules Of Grammar to remake words that are inconvenient.

“When I use a word,” Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, “it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less.”

          • That would be good.

The US government hasn’t defended the US since 1783, so there are no just wars since that time to be had for illustrating, well, anything legitimate.

      • Oregon Hobo

I fear this round goes to Aesop. The words “law”, “legal”, “legitimate”, “legislate”, and “privilege” all share the same latin root, leg/lex.

While there certainly are alternative definitions for “legitimate”, the one Aesop is using is in fact the original meaning as well as the primary contemporary meaning. One might argue that Aesop is just trying to be a smartass (and he might just snicker and cede that point), or one might hit up the thesaurus and pick a word less prone to misinterpretation.

This all reminds me of a debate I’ve had (repeatedly) over the meaning of feminism. One definition of the word is an ideology that supports equal rights for women — perfectly reasonable stuff that most non-Muslims support. An alternate definition of feminism however is the political movement build upon the ideology — ie the batshit clown show that most people associate with the word.

Take a poll of people who support equal rights for women, compare it to a poll of people who support the feminist movement, and you’ll come out with two starkly divergent numbers – 85% vs 18%.

According to Salon that’s because we just “don’t understand feminism”. This is typical of acolytes of the feminist movement, who view with extreme hostility any distinction between the first definition and the second. In fact I was informed just a few months back that reciting the definitions of feminism from a dictionary was a microaggression. So sorry. 😦 😦 😦

Words are clumsy and cumbersome things for honest and intelligent people, and indispensable tools of the trade for conflationists and politicians..

‘An alternate definition of feminism however is the political movement build upon the ideology — ie the batshit clown show that most people associate with the word.’

Aye. And there’s a word for that also.

“By what legitimate authority has the United States government bombed and invaded Syria?”

No legitimate authority. They do it because they can get away with it.
In the process they are running the nation and the people into the ground.

Like your current masthead says: “Ever wonder about the fall of the Roman Empire? Look around.”
Well, I guess the powers that be figure that everything is still working so far, so it will keep running along forever.
Until one day that is not going to work anymore, then things will change. Probably suddenly and violently.

Like a car running along the highway, everything is running along smoothly until one day the engine suddenly seizes up and there is a loud bang as the engine self destructs and suddenly there is a whole lot of noise and smoke coming from under the hood. The car slows down and comes to a complete stop with no possibilty of being restarted again without a complete rebuild.

I’m sure other people have their own metaphors or stories to describe the coming great unpleasantness. I’ll stick with the car blowing up on the highway version because I think it best describes the sudden change from everything running along fine to “OMG what just happened???!!!” feelings and situation a lot of people are going to experience.

Bullies will be bullies because they can get away with it.
Until one day they can’t. Then things get sorted out and either everyone minds their own business or everyone gets a new bully to kick them around.

It’s part of the human condion I guess.

    • More like a car running along the highway for thousands of miles with lots of ticks and bangs and uneven power and parts falling off and blinkenlights, all being ignored — followed by nothing but flaming wreckage and the 99 clowns inside complaining about how no one could have expected any of it. And one guy tied against his will to the hood, laughing and aware but almost certainly going to get crucified by the clowns.

  8. Another question to ask, “Why is President Trump trusting any information coming out of the intel agencies that have spent most of their time since the election (and some could argue before as well) trying to undermine his presidency? Just because new “Heads” are in charge of them doesn’t mean they are on the up and up. Rooting out the Obobo deep cells in those agencies will take time. Going on info from them for anything but dire “Do it now!” national defensive operations (of which this one didn’t even have “defense” in the title) I believe is a mistake.

    • Randolph Scott

The biggest mistake is in believing any intelligence they present. All these alphabet agencies have been caught lying and bearing false witness against many people and events. If POTUS is believing these lying self serving bastards the country know as the United States of America is DOOMED!

The only way pout of this is a a total destruction of certain 3 letter agencies and the executions of the top 3 levels of management in these agencies and any field operators. It must be swift, decisive with NO appeals of any kind. You ‘the man’ of said agency, you die on the spot.

    • Concur.
Draining a swamp is a process, not a day’s work.

      • Trump’s deepening it with a steamshovel. Then adding his own filth. By and by, though, if Trump keeps poking the Bear, Putin will evaporate it with a 20-megaton airburst.

    • Where is he going to get his information? If not from the Intel agencies, then where? He needs to get to work tossing out the bad eggs in the Intel agencies so that they can get back to the way it’s supposed to be. I worked in the Intel community and despite the fact that I sought only the truth, and everyone I worked with sought only the truth, a few bad eggs a few steps above us can turn the whole thing upside down.

The deep state has taken over the Intel community, to be sure. But why would they do the hard work of infiltrating every level when that’s not necessary and may not even be possible? Just as difficult as it is to root these bastards out, that’s how difficult it is for them to have rooted out good guys like me and the people I worked with. The baddies have simple infiltrated the right offices.

  9. Actually CA, we have not reached the ultimate conclusion.
No country stays omnipotent forever. There will come a time when we shall reap in kind for what we have sown elsewhere. Sooner maybe that later by my count.

  10. European American

The USA is the quintessential Invasive Species of the planet, spreading its toxic form the “Freedom” and “Democracy” to any sovereign country that happens to disagree with its obsessive-compulsive craving to control any rogue mind that thinks for itself.

Trump and his princess daughter (without her zionist jewboy husband) could learn a great deal about reality by paying a visit to the home of the Honorable Bashar Hafez al-Assad and his wife Asma.

  11. Why do you all keep asking. You all already know the answers. I spent the earlier part of this week up in WA state. Brothers from my mil days. Haven’t seen nor talked to them is almost 40 years.

The conversation slowly became a prob, and then engagement. They were on board, they get it, they agree, they just have a different set of multipliers.

I have sympathy. Their solutions need to be theirs, not mine.

  12. By what legitimate authority has the United States government bombed and invaded Syria?

Still waiting for the world to demonstrate that using weapons of mass destruction intentionally on a peaceful religious community – Branch Davidians – will not be tolerated.

  13. Funny how we bitch and moan about the state of the economy and jobs reports, and illegals and how we outta do something about the Norks and terrorism, and Europeans are a bunch of pussys cuz the Muslums are marching on their country…. and when somebody gets elected with a set of balls, and says all the things we wish our leaders would say, and starts doing shit to back up his views.. we start getting all schmaltzy about the ” law”, and ” legal authority”… like half the bastards here all of the sudden get all law abiding and indignant about how dare we get in another hot mess, by what authority.. and blah, blah, blah…… I swear on the almighty it resembles my wife bitching about a wet spring, because i know whats next. In a month, bitching about the hot weather, what the hell do you expect trump to do?.. he turned his shit over to the Military, because it’s a military problem Something Obama and his whores wouldnt do. so, when bad actors take advantage of our Military,( Iran ) we look and act like a bunch of women at a stitch and bitch party. I seem to recall on more than one occasion WRSA readers were bitching about the do-nothings when it was obamas dick in the gloryhole… Now we have trump, and he is doing shit his way. Like it or not, you either get behind the guy, because thats what you do when the people in charge utilize the military, or you go out and hold up a fucking sign proclaiming that it’s better to kick the shit out of his supporters than to back up the people whos ass are going to be hanging out when shit goes down. Christ, people would bitch if they were hung with a new rope…

    • We played a tune and you would not dance;
we sang a dirge and you would not weep.

    • Amen.

Carrying Virginia ham under one arm, bitchin’ they ain’t got no bread…

    • no, Trumpsucker. War Everywhere isn’t what was wanted by the people who voted for him. He ran as a Nationalist, not as a Judeo-globalist/(((bankster)))-stooge warmonger. Trump and his Zionist owners aren’t just nation-killers. They’re world-killers.

What I want to know is; how did all those liberals know he was going to do this?

        • Semper Fi 0321,
The way Trump team has been replacing folk, who’s the replacements are, and the early timing, indicates to me this has been a show election.
Continuation of behind the scenes policies during the last 3 administrations.

      • Ad hominem is the refuge of someone with nothing important to say.
Besides noting that you’re still batting .000 on my motivations, tell us all, in your esteemed estimation, the difference between what you and everyone wanted vs. what they’re getting.
        Good luck with that mission.

        • No. Shit. Drive-by commentary.

(((Haxo))) showing up right on time to foam at the mouth about the Israelites’ conspiracy of the minute. I fucking literally set my watch by it. I fucking literally verify my watch’s settings by how many times t-fAt blames all the world’s problems on the police.

Dude. We get it. You have a form of Tourette Syndrome of the fingers that compels you to jump on the comments section, and incoherently parse together some stream of derp that involves La Kosher Nostra behind every corner.

(((Haxo))) doesn’t like Jewish people, and regardless of the topic, he WILL steer it towards Jewry.

To be that consumed with a singular topic, (((Haxo))) would either need to be:

          1) Literally fucking autistic
          2) The world’s worst internet troll
          3) Someone collecting a paycheck to be here.

          There’s nothing else.

…unless he’s such a goddamned special snowflake that when he sees Kosher Dills at the “Jewpermarket” he gets triggered and busts a hasty retreat to his safe space.

        • Haxo wasn’t name calling, he was providing a descriptor of you based on your posts to this blog.

A rather accurate descriptor, I might add.

    • Right on target, he can’t please anyone. Draning the swamp ain’t never going to happen. He mighty lower it some. Best that will happen. I’d rather be top dog around the world than some 2nd rate nation bowing to the new top dog. It almost happened with Obama.

  14. alaskapaul

We do not have a “drain the swamp” situation in DC; we have to perform an excision of a malignant tumor from the body politic. You do not reform a malignant tumor.

  15. Decades from now people will wonder how so many could have been so blind and stupid.

Mohammad Atta’s passport floated to the ground in NYC that day.

You’re either with us or you’re with the ________ (fill in the blank).

I’m no longer with you. I’m not against you but I’m definitely not on board for this horseshit. The American people are so drug addled, boozed up, SSRI’d up etc they can’t see straight let alone discern real global risk from a massive con job. Go ahead prove me wrong. Show me the evidence that the chemical attack occurred as described. It ain’t there.

Now it’s NORK time. Nookular! Chemical! BIo Terror! I’m waiting for the presidential address that says “Here’s what we’re doing and why”. It ain’t coming. Instead we get 146 characters of shite.

  16. The Usual Suspect

craigslistrr O you are spot on, there are a bunch of shrill, screeching,
ole ladies who found a turd in their punch bowl here.
I personally love the hypocrisy displayed here continually, they have
nothing to contribute but scorn and ridicule as if they could do better.

  17. RE: Trump & recent actions, Tex @ vault-co observes:

“The guy fell for everything. He’s too gullible. He’s bought whatever they are selling and the intel they are shovelling at him is pure hooey. A wiser man would have kept his impulses in check and simply waited for some analysis. This guy heard one buzzer and jumped right out the window. Trump is not paying attention. He’s carrying out the same course of action Hillary would have followed except he is simply reacting mindlessly to reach the same result. It is amazing how little money they had to spend to convince Trump there was an emergency happening. There was nothing happening. Part of wise governance is ignoring the overexcitable buffoons with agendas screeching at you. Do you know what masculine means? It means keeping your cool at all times. Trump blew it instantly.

The really disturbing thing is how much of his base believes his actions are legitimate. The truth is, they wouldn’t know one way or the other.

Lights on but nobody is really home. Tenth generation lunatics. Every 200 years, those whom the “gods” would destroy they first drive mad. If the nation goes crazy, can any one man prevent their self-destruction? Nope. That’s why nations last around 200 years. “

  18. robroysimmons

War jabber for right or wrong gives old white men like Aesop a chance to say “we’re kicking butt.”.

Then a week from now he is just another “racist.”

This being written by an old white man and “racist.”

    • Not at all.
We aren’t in a war, and I’ve got no use for “war jabber”.
I see actions, and likely results. No more, no less.
Like you or anyone here, none of us were consulted, before or after.
I’m not on the field, or the team, so there’s no “we” involved.
As frequently noted by our host:

I can, however, evaluate winning or losing efforts, and tally a score.

The strike on Syria was clubbing baby harp seals, not war.
It had a purpose, and it’s done.
Likely, the lesson has taken, for a host of reasons, but only time will tell.
And sociopathic dictators are never rational actors.

  19. fuck the poLICE.

  20. If most people overseas understood “freedom” as what comes only from the USA, they won’t want it.

There isn’t a single thing tbag isn’t illegal, taxed, regulated in this country. The only difference between the USA and perhaps France Or Syria is Americans live in a delusion and seem to think their free.

  21. Fun little fact. If Hillary had been elected, every one of you fuckers cheering on what Trump is doing, would be screaming bloody hell if Hillary were doing the same thing.

The cognitive dissonance is truly mind boggling. That is why you are called Boobus Americanus.

    • Yup.

      Like when Bush begat Cliton

      When Cliton begat Bush

      When Bush begat Barry Soetero

      and so on.

all data points on a non deflecting trendline.

      Oh Look Jane! North Korea!

    • No, we’d be astonished.
Shrillary would have disbanded most of the military by now, and sent the remnant left to die somewhere for nothing, like the Meals on Wheels mission in Somalia that got us Blackhawk Down. Then she’d sit like Marie Antoinette, laugh at the plight of hundreds of dead troops, and shriek out, “What difference, at this point, does it make?!”

That’s reason #3,081 Why She’ll Never Be President.

  22. “Oh, it matters, Walter. Because when the ‘fuck you’ party that is going for Trump finally figures out that they’ve been duped again because there never was any voting their way out of this to begin with, they will instantly become the ‘I’m gonna get you sucka’ party.”

    So it’s time…

    • SemperFi,0321

All the Trump apologists want another yr to decide if they got fuk’d or not, meanwhile they’re blaming everyone but Trump for being dishonest in their info gathering. Poor Trump, surrounded by so many deceitful idiots.
And for being the only nation in history to ever be blessed by God (I learned that from Lee Greenwood), we can drop nukes on anyone we want, because they deserve it. Good call.
The world hates us, for good reason, and when they all decide they’ve had enough, the bombing of Dresden will look like a single candle in the dark compared to our glowing skies.
Myself, I’ll feel no pity for Boobus Americanus. I’ve listened to their arrogant exceptionalism my entire life, and it’s worn itself out.

      • Yep. I was willing to give Trump at least a year. Right up until he started his warmongering for the globalists/neocons/Aesop/Hillary crowd.

The issue is not just dropping nukes on any group of foreigners who have joined the Leviathan’s ENEMIES OF THE MONTH CLUB. I am still wondering about the morality of over 50 million innocent unborn American citizens murdered in their mothers’ wombs since 1973.
God will not be mocked. God hates the shedding of innocent blood. His word does not return void. This country’s dance card is all filled up. In His own time, at His own choosing, the chastisement will descend on Amerika. This is something to contemplate this Easter weekend. Watch and pray.

    • hummus abedin

      Fucking hilarious and spot on.
      👍 👍 👍

  23. There is no work to be shown because there is no legitimate authority for bombing Syria. Syria is not a threat to our national security. If he wants to draw a line on North Korea then that’s fine with me. North Korea is or might one day be a threat to us. Not Syria, not right now and not anytime soon.

  24. Only two ways to live. Do useful, productive work … OR, find a way to exploit the productivity of others.

US has made its choice, which means its locked into a cycle of violence; else it must slide into penury for a time. That “depression” wouldn’t be so bad, for most people. It would be terrible for the few that actually matter.

Just my worthless European’ perspective … but, I look at the US and see a mad dog, snarling and snapping. Sometimes taking a bite, or two. Everyone tries to placate it with tasty morsels; but only because they haven’t yet figured out a way to kill it.

ISTM that US’ Foreign Policy can be expressed succinctly as, “Give us yer stuff, or we’ll kill ya.”

Trump? Well, he’s turned out to be just another piece of political shit. Don’t let that dissuade you from voting, tho. You’re sure to have better luck next time.

  25. The Walkin' Dude

Gotta say, them Norks are gettin down on this live stream. Whether forced, or simply nationalism, they go all out.

  26. It has been my experience that it takes just about half as long to fix a successive series of screw-ups than it took to make ’em. An idiot Company Commander who serves out his year and skips off to C&SC may leave behind a mess that will take the entire first half of his successor’s term to turn around.

Considering my belief that there has been an almost unremitting series of screwups in this country beginning in 1913, and some here stating quite reasonably that they began in 1860 or earlier, I don’t see how anyone can complain if the fix takes less than 52 to 78 years (my lifetime to date is 53 years, so I’d never see the end of it). The most optimistic among us

(“cucks”, I believe we may be called; like “racists”, it has lost all meaning, value, or potency as a weapon)

would point out that the first real effort at repair has been ongoing, against bipartisan and international opposition, for one hundred and five DAYS.
