The Cat Got It – Really

Repost from 2009:

From Billy Beck:

“Perry… if there was a ‘fight’, I would be ass-deep in it and right shoulder-to-shoulder with you. What we’re doing is not a fight. Not any more. Matters are already past anything we can do in blogs, now, and they will be for a long time to come. You can doubt me if you want, but you’ll see.

We’re going to go all the way through this — the whole bloody lesson-plan that should have been the overweening moral of the twentieth century — again. Don’t you see it? The biggest and last domino is falling right now in front of your eyes. This is going to be an example to the whole world, but here’s the thing: ‘the whole world’ is a lot to teach by example. The destruction of America might live up to it, but it’s going to take a while.

And after that, there is no telling how long people will have to live in the greyed shadows of what used to be, before they remember what that was, if they ever do.

We were really lucky in some ways, Perry, although cursed in others: as a long-range matter of history and the serendipitous time of our being, we saw what was possible.

That’s really all there was to it, and I am beginning to find the resolve of facing facts strangely calming.”

I have a very different view than Perry de Havilland.

  1. We saw what was possible and then pissed on it.

That was eight years ago, and Billy Beck rocked then and as far as I know he’s still rocking in what’s left of the free world. A major asset in the struggle for liberty for many years now.

  2. Billy alway’s said there was no voting our way out of this.
He also said that is when people become manifest in their destiny.
That, that is as it should be.

Seems like another age when he wrote it.

  3. Circa 1997, alt.impeach.clinton, Beck is instrumental in my already well underway conversion. At that point the demon had been unleashed and 20 years past it is still seething. He was right all along.

As usual BB is right and his stoicism is peeking out at the end of his quote by CA. Don’t forget your Stockdale.

  5. Yes the upcoming global collapse. The one I heard about in the 80’s, the one I hear coming in what was it late 2007?

So here we are 8 years past this crash time.

It is worse and better than we imagined.

We are much worse off than then for sure. The job I used to have in 2009 paid $14 an hour then… It pays.. $14 an hour now, but the money has less value.

    I made 84k USD in 2004. In 2011 that 80k spent like 45kUSD.

Did the revolution happen? Not really unless you count the commies/antifa etc repeating the 1960’s/70’s social upheavals. Same slogans, same people, 50 years later.

I really wish it would just happen and get on with it whatever is supposed to happen.

Desert Storm was supposed to touch off a larger war. Y2K was supposed to crash all the computers. Peak Oil was supposed to have caused a global collapse by now.

  6. Until a larger group of Americans understand TINVOWOOT we are confined to a footlocker at the end of Uncle Sam’s bed wherein he is currently raping our children and grandchildren’s futures.

Lawyers dissolved what the founders envisioned years ago. Yet the illusion lived on.
