  1. 173d Viet Vet

We are not, nor have we been one Nation for generations.

IMHO it all started in the period of the Vietnam War. And “Yes”, I served with the Army’s elite 173d Airborne Brigade in Vietnam.

I saw the attacks of Liberals against our military as if it was the military that was making Nationsl policy and fomenting a war that the Liberals detested.

It was the time of psychedelic 60’s, the hang loose anything goes lifestyle. Hedonism raged and the silent majority/ greatest generation who persevered thru Roosevelt’s prolonging of the Depression, remained silent and were too tired or distracted by Walter Cronkite to put their collective feet down tampering the ignorant exuberance for socialism…

We are no more “One Nation Under God, indivisible…”. We are fractious entities scrapping for a piece of the pie… some pie… any piece of the pie….trying to greedily grasp that which otherwise might go to some other constituency.

    This will not end well.

    This will end, not well.

This will end with blood in the streets.

I pray not, but there are no facts apparent showing the Ship of State veering away from the coming conflagration.

Jaded. Paranoid. Suspicious. Observant and untrusting.

Yes, I am: (d) All the above

You would be too if you turned off the television and began searching for the truth in various competing sites on the web.

Television is only entertainment, including Fox News.

If you live for the truth packaged as entertainment you will die from the lies you swallowed innocently and recklessly.

    “Seek and ye shall find…”

    • Good stuff.

Just watching television, you can see the ripples and tears of the country; expecting that to reverse is foolishness. If I had the money to where decisions by government would not affect me until end of life, first thing I would do is throw out the television and just enjoy the day while the country goes to hell in a handbasket.

    • 173dVV,
Yes, the hits we are seeing are all related.

For example – The events unfolding while seeing and hearing
the left red diaper babies are not new. They have learned those
many lying tactical MANURE-vers since their beginning, mainly
via their connections and employments, direct and indIrect sessions
with the “legal system.” I think it is why sooo many people have
identified with all the crap they continue to throw on the board due
to sooo many being hit with the same crap as lower beings, contrary
to the big shots simply responding in what sooo many have tried to
do with their limited resources now. The liars cannot handle the
cut of the jib from the big shots, and are going full scale bi-polar-
      vortex.

Yes, it will not end well. But…

      There is hope:
“Every man to his family and his belongings” and if lonesome,
then gather with those seeking that Way and help build up
      the strength.Miracles will happen.

  2. Springsteen is just another liberal entertainer who is actually helping hasten the demise of our formerly great country with his outspoken support of all things democrat. He championed obama and gushed over kerry. He’s just another tool of the left. “Boss”‘ yeah right, “Bitch” is more like it. I won’t be listening to him on the 4th or any other time.

    • Try the lyric sheet:

Born down in a dead man’s town
The first kick I took was when I hit the ground
End up like a dog that’s been beat too much
Till you spend half your life just covering up
Born in the U.S.A., I was born in the U.S.A.
I was born in the U.S.A., born in the U.S.A.
Got in a little hometown jam
So they put a rifle in my hand
Sent me off to a foreign land
To go and kill the yellow man
Born in the U.S.A., I was born in the U.S.A.
Born in the U.S.A., born in the U.S.A.
Come back home to the refinery
Hiring man said “son if it was up to me”
Went down to see my V.A. man
He said “son, don’t you understand”
I had a brother at Khe Sahn
      Fighting off the Viet Cong
They’re still there, he’s all gone
He had a woman he loved in Saigon
I got a picture of him in her arms now
Down in the shadow of the penitentiary
Out by the gas fires of the refinery
I’m ten years burning down the road
Nowhere to run ain’t got nowhere to go
Born in the U.S.A., I was born in the U.S.A.
Born in the U.S.A., I’m a long gone daddy in the U.S.A.
Born in the U.S.A., born in the U.S.A.
Born in the U.S.A., I’m a cool rocking daddy in the U.S.A.

  3. GA Patriot

Actually, we haven’t been a nation since 1861.

    • Grey Ghost

      ^^^Word.
Hell the people of Vicksburg, MS were so pissed about the siege and butchering of civilians by Gen U.S. Grant they refused to celebrate July 4th until 1945.

  4. Funny how everyone vomits the familiar command “God bless the usa”…. seems like it might be more fitting to ASK: Lord please bless the usa………..
if’n you can see through all the evil………

  5. Yep…Springsteens song is not”patriotic”as anyone who can understand the lyrics would know. They only see the murkin flag cover and hear him bellow USA and they go catatonic. The musical 3 note ditty leaves much to be desired also, simple as a 50s chewing gum jingle.IOW,he sux.
