  1. Ed is the epitome of a free man. I highly recommend his book “Confessions of a barbarian” “The fools progress” is also a worthy read.

  2. Look!

cold-blooded murderers of innocent old men women and children who have paid with their lives!

just look into their soulless beady eyes.

do you still think they are human?

to me, they look like drugged and brainwashed zombies looking to kill anyone and anything they see.

surely they are burning in Hell right now for all eternity for their crimes.

all for a paycheck and the thrill.

hope it was worth it to them. 🙂

Jordanian guard charged with murder in deaths of 3 Green Berets
By: Rachael Kalinyak, June 5, 2017 (Photo Credit: Army)
The Jordanian government has formally charged one of its service members with murder for the deaths of three U.S. Special Forces soldiers, according to CNN…
On Nov. 4, a Jordanian air force guard opened fire on the U.S. forces, who were in the country as part of a training mission…
Due to the current allied status of Jordan and the United States, the service members traveled in unarmored vehicles, did not wear body armor, and only carried handguns. The guard was wearing body armor and carrying an M-16 rifle.
The attack resulted in the deaths of Staff Sgt. Kevin McEnroe, Staff Sgt. James Moriarty and Sgt. 1st Class Matthew Lewellen. The soldiers belonged to 5th Special Forces Group at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
In March, the fathers of the three soldiers publicly called for murder charges against the man accused of shooting their sons…
“There is no evidence that US forces failed to fully comply with Jordanian Base entrance procedures,” the investigation report read according to CNN.
According to CNN, the report recommends U.S. forces use armored vehicles and have at least one rifle with them in the future.

  3. No One You Know

    The Monkey Wrench Gang.
Yes, dated and it spawned the idiotic Earth First! (we’ll mine the other planets later…) movement, but chock full of memorable quotes*
with sprinkles of tactical suggestions for opposing the State.

An entertaining read and worthy addition to any well-stocked library, despite the author’s occasional leftist leans.

*Exempli gratia: “One man alone can be pretty dumb sometimes, but for real bona fide stupidity, there ain’t nothing can beat teamwork.”

  4. Old Ed was quite the character. I particularly like his comment about police from “The Monkey Wrench Gang”: “Proud, tough, sensitive flunkies”.

It’s a generalization, and probably unfair to some good guys, but as things now stand it’s the safest position to take. (They did it to themselves.)

  5. Ed Abbey has remained my favorite writer for 30 years. He won’t appeal to everyone, but his 1988 essay ‘Immigration and Liberal Taboos’ was decades ahead of its time.

    • All the more so since all other well known Environmentalists sold out, preferring political correctness to the Truth and the Good of what they supposedly love. Beyond that Abbey believed in Race and Tribe – calling the Mexicans an inferior race.

  6. To evaluate the effectiveness of the anarchy model, all I have to do is look at the liberty movement.

  7. “Freedom begins between the ears.”

I think that’s pretty well accepted around here. Near as I can tell, the problem seems to be, “Whose ears?”

  8. Joe (not X yet)

Yoke O, Oh no, John. American Thinker- Imagine, Hymn to Progressive Utopia (I I I WW submit tapioca for pudding brains, Imagine that?) Did somebody say Book? And of course it what happens between your ears that cause Human Action, Mises thinks? Yet it is good to remember where we been, least we repeat it.

Imagine there is no atmosphere, it’s easy if you try. See what happens when I change a word in the popular song by John Lennon (Imagine, 1971) . No heaven or hell, just sky, (atmosphere)? You may say I AM a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. However “I” am only one to the group think. Do dreams really come true for some Billy? Now, skip the of rest of the lyrics, to the end, the living for today, nothing to kill or die for, no religion and living in peace, one day you will join us, imagine no possessions, (Property Rights) I wonder if you can, (yes we can?), no green (greed) or hunger (for knowledge), a brotherhood of man (-those we don’t like), to, I hope some day you will join us, And all the world will THINK as one? Think about that? Or, I should say group think about that?

The British Invasion was a cultural phenomenon of the mid-1960s, when rock and pop music acts from the United Kingdom, as well as other aspects of British (Indian (dot not feather Raj and Pakistan to some degree of separation 1947) culture, became popular in the United States, and significant to rising “counterculture” on both sides of the Atlantic. (wp with commentary)

There was your British invasion in music and popular culture, not necessarily American Culture. The set up for your future climate change of the first Earth Day in the summer of love and environmentalism. But, how did the Beatles go from “I wanna hold you hand” to “Revolution”? Was it all peace and love and Viet Nam war protestors to Far Out Dude, where’s the weed? We went from the dew drop inn to the drop out drug culture and of course the hippy dippy weather man! Or, more commonly known as the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) diametrically oppose to the LDS, however, not to LDS, then to Timothy Leary and the new drug induced enlightenment to the new Revolution. Climate Changed for the terrorists and changed their culture to the Weather Underground. I highly recommend the book “1968” for your enlightenment and clue to what is going on today for the geriatric love child. The love Child of the 1960’s now ruin the country. It was not the British invasion that was the cause, it was hijacked! Hijacked as well were Civil Rights, right on man, power to the people and of course black power?

To some, 1968 was the year of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Yet it was also the year of the Martin Luther King, Jr.,
and Bobby Kennedy assassinations; the riots at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago; Prague Spring; the
antiwar movement and the Tet Offensive; Black Power; the generation gap; avant-garde theater; the upsurge of the
women’s movement; and the beginning of the end for the Soviet Union. In this monumental book, Mark Kurlansky
brings to teeming life the cultural and political history of that pivotal year, when television’s influence on global events
first became apparent, and spontaneous uprisings occurred simultaneously around the world. Encompassing the
diverse realms of youth and music, politics and war, economics and the media, 1968 shows how twelve volatile
months transformed who we were as a people—and led us to where we are today, (1968) There is your Globalism beginning to our end.

Revolution! The Beatles! You say you want a Revolution? You tell me that’s a Evolution? We all want to change the world.

But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow

Want to know why they were protesting the Vietnam war? Because they believed in the same ideology as Chairman Mao, they were the new American Red Guard, they wanted a Revolution, that’s why! Not all of them, yet all of them were subject to the group think of the time and still to this day. Note in history here, please refer to, “The Black Book of Communism” for that ideology. That was also a time when the Democratic Party began the identity (sex change) change from the anti-communist JFK, LBJ and even HHH of the state I call The Great Mistake to Jimmy Carter socialist light Progressives and anti-Americanism and the great Exodus of made in the USA manufacturing to other parts of the Globe, mostly Communist China Please keep in mind the Progressives have not party affiliations, they just use the parties, democrat, republican, communist and or even civil right and Liberty movements. They have a different meaning of the word Democracy and the US Constitution is little more than bird cage liner to them, as well have changed the meaning of most words. They use words so it sounds good to you, it is code to them such as the word Liberal and Liberty have little to do with the original meanings and even Progressive. I AM not going to mention the Insurance Company that sell the Progressive, not going to do that! Progress is what they do, it is a religious experience to them culminating in the election of the messiah Barry Soetoro of questionable origins, perhaps Origin of Species the Evolution and silent revolution (war on America), UN commonly known as Barack Husain Obama’s America.

So what is the natural progression of the mostly Christian Civil Rights Movement to the mostly Nation of Islam, Malcolm X and death of the racist white man. Well, obviously it is a white man, William Ayres (Billy) William Charles “Bill” Ayers is an American elementary education theorist (Common Core) and a former leader in the counterculture movement who opposed US involvement in the Vietnam War.He is known for his 1960s radical activism and his current work in education reform, curriculum and instruction. In 1969, he co-founded the Weather Underground, a self-described communist revolutionary group with the intent to overthrow imperialism,[2] that conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings (including police stations, the US Capitol Building, and the Pentagon) during the 1960s and 1970s in response to US involvement in the Vietnam War.
In June 1969, the Weathermen took control of the SDS at its national convention, where Ayers was elected Education Secretary.[8] Later in 1969, Ayers participated in planting a bomb at a statue dedicated to police casualties in the 1886 Haymarket affair confrontation between labor supporters and the Chicago police.[13] The blast broke almost 100 windows and blew pieces of the statue onto the nearby Kennedy Expressway.[14] (The statue was rebuilt and unveiled on May 4, 1970, and blown up again by other Weathermen on October 6, 1970.[14][15] Rebuilding it yet again, the city posted a 24-hour police guard to prevent another blast, and in January 1972 it was moved to Chicago police headquarters).[16]

Ayers participated in the Days of Rage riot in Chicago in October 1969, and in December was at the “War Council” meeting in Flint, Michigan. Two major decisions came out of the “War Council”. The first was to immediately begin a violent, armed struggle (e.g., bombings and armed robberies) against the state without attempting to organize or mobilize a broad swath of the public. The second was to create underground collectives in major cities throughout the country.[17] Larry Grathwohl, a Federal Bureau of Investigation informant in the Weathermen group from the fall of 1969 to the spring of 1970, stated that “Ayers, along with Bernardine Dohrn, probably had the most authority within the Weathermen”.[18]Wikipedia You may also want to read Billie’s books Prairie Fire and of course Dreams of my Father.

Common Core? The Common Core State Standards Initiative is an educational initiative in the United States that details what K–12 students should know in English language arts and mathematics at the end of each grade. The initiative is sponsored by the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and seeks to establish consistent educational standards across the states as well as ensure that students graduating from high school are prepared to enter credit-bearing courses at two- or four-year college programs or to enter the workforce.States were given an incentive to adopt the Common Core Standards through the possibility of competitive federal Race to the Top grants. U.S. President Barack Obama and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan announced the Race to the Top competitive grants on July 24, 2009, as a motivator for education reform. To be eligible, states had to adopt “internationally benchmarked standards and assessments that prepare students for success in college and the work place.

Former governor Jeb Bush has said of opponents of the standards that while “criticisms and conspiracy theories are easy attention grabbers”, he instead wanted to hear their solutions to the problems in American education.[70] In 2014, Bobby Jindal wrote that “It has become fashionable in the news media to believe there is a right-wing conspiracy against Common Core.”[71]

    Diane Ravitch has also stated:

The financial cost of implementing Common Core has barely been mentioned in the national debates. All Common Core testing will be done online. This is a bonanza for the tech industry and other vendors. Every school district must buy new computers, new teaching materials, and new bandwidth for the testing. At a time when school budgets have been cut in most states and many thousands of teachers have been laid off, school districts across the nation will spend billions to pay for Common Core testing. Los Angeles alone committed to spend $1 billion on iPads for the tests; the money is being taken from a bond issue approved by voters for construction and repair of school facilities. Meanwhile, the district has cut teachers of the arts, class size has increased, and necessary repairs are deferred because the money will be spent on iPads. The iPads will be obsolete in a year or two, and the Pearson content loaded onto the iPads has only a three-year license.[72] Common Core Hijacked Education for money power and control as the common core goes, so goes the country, MY COMMENT.

CHICAGO – Referred to as ‘Common Core lead standards authors’ by the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), David Coleman and Jason Zimba are just two in a long list of Common Core creators whose academic roots are with the education-for-a-revolution machine borne by Annenberg Institute, Carnegie Corporation, Bill Gates, et al.

Today, Coleman and Zimba are head of Student Achievement Partners, an organization that played a leading role in developing the standards and actively supports districts and states in implementing them.

Prior to Student Achievement Partners, Coleman and Zimba were co-founders of the Grow Network (now owned by McGraw-Hill Company). Grow Network began as a pilot program in New York in 2000. Less than a year later, the Chicago Public Education Fund began negotiating a contract with Grow Network on behalf of Chicago Public Schools.

The Chicago Public Education Fund (‘The Fund’) was created in 1998 by the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) board of directors, which included Barack Obama as board chairman and communist Bill Ayers, as co-chair.

President Obama’s recently appointed Commerce Secretary, Penny Pritzker, was one of twelve founding board members appointed to The Fund.

Obama himself worked with The Fund for the next several years as a leadership council member, alongside Bill Ayers’ father, Thomas Ayers, and brother, John Ayers.

Thomas G. Ayers (Daddy of the original afluenza boys)

Thomas G. Ayers (February 16, 1915 in Detroit, Michigan – June 8, 2007 in Chicago, Illinois) was president (1964–1980), CEO and chairman (1973–1980) of Commonwealth Edison.[1]

Ayers served as chairman of the Board of Trustees of Northwestern University, the Erikson Institute, the Bank Street College of Education in New York City, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Community Trust, the Chicago Urban League, the Community Renewal Society, the Chicago Association of Commerce and Industry, Chicago United, the Leadership Council for Metropolitan Open Communities, and Dearborn Park Corp.,[1] and served as vice president of the Chicago Board of Education.[2]

Ayers also served on the board of directors of Sears, G.D. Searle, Chicago Pacific Corp., Zenith Corp., Northwest Industries, General Dynamics Corp. of St. Louis, First National Bank of Chicago, the Chicago Cubs, and the Tribune Co.[1]

In 1938, he married Mary Andrew, the mother of his children. His son William Ayers, once the leader of the radical Weather Underground, has been a professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago since 1987.[3] His son John Ayers, once on the staff (1983–1986) of former U.S. Rep. Lane Evans (D-IL), is a national leader in charter school development.[4]

My comment: So, how is that Chicago School system working out for you? CNSnews, Seventy-nine percent of the 8th graders in the Chicago Public Schools are not grade-level proficient in reading, according to the U.S. Department of Education, and 80 percent are not grade-level proficient in math. Now that is progress, isn’t it?

You say you want a revolution? Start with Education! And a Damned good reason for the termination (defunding) of the Department of Education, Federal and State!

    Your humble ww three correspondent.

PS, I have more respect for Malcolm X (Little) than I do for the love child Barry Soetoro, or chief executive instigator and terrorist afluenza boy Billy Ayres common core! Malcolm said what he was thinking and able to change his thinking, UN like Barry and Billy smoke and mirrors. And if this investigation of the Russian Connections does not end up with the conviction of Billy and Hilly, confiscation of all their assets, UN doing of everything they have done and in chains you know who to blame. Hint, that would be you!

  9. I wouldn’t presume or much less try, to consign anyone to the fires of hell, since that is G*ds’ business and concern, alone. Even the obvious evil people on the earth are judged by the Judge, and never anyone else. If you have doubts about that, read the Manual (Bible), and the words to Amazing Grace, for re enforcement. When I learned not to presume anything about the Maker, my life got a lot easier.
