Quote Of The Week

“…What I want to emphasize is the great value of taking responsibility for your own well-being, and for the well-being of anyone who happens to be under your protection. That virtue has been badly weakened these last few decades. It’s been displaced by the belief that our Big Nanny in Washington, in concert with the lesser nannies in the state capitals, will make sure everything comes out all right.

They won’t. More to the point, they can’t.
What you foresee and fear is yours to deal with.
Your neighbors might assist you; “your government” won’t.
That’s the way things are, regardless of anyone’s contrary opinion.

Plan accordingly. And do please stay away from crowds.”

— Fran Porretto

  1. Anybody counting on govt. That’s city, county, state, or federal, is insane”. Your life, your responsibility.

  3. That’s a real decent kind of quote.
I like how Fran put it as virtue. If there is one thing that will see you through things it’s your virtue, and sticking to it, kind of a virtue inside a virtue.

Fran’s right. Nobody is coming to save you but you, and that is as it should be. In truth, it is the only way it should be, total self determination. It’s an interesting thing that self determination.
When you get 2 people or a group of people who are self determining, together they often go out of their way to help each other out. I see it as that kind of help is helping others who can and will help themselves. It has the characteristics of added value labor, and which is a force multiplier.

I’m saying that out of personal observation. Along the ridge in my AO, there’s a growing community of self determining cooperation, my neighbors are getting it, they are beginning to understand there is nothing and never has been anything coming to save us but ourselves. In fact it is the opposite, there are people and entities that given the right conditions will go to the pits of hell to obstruct and undermine self determination.
But when there is a cooperating AO, village, or tribe, it is much more difficult to undermine self determination, as this is a plurality that has withdrawn consent of the statist-quo, therefore it is extremely difficult to manipulate and coerce determined people.
It’s probably something more common in less populated areas where there isn’t the underlying built in State all encompassing infrastructure, (not to mention almost every commodity has to be sourced from out in flyover country), that has an iron grip on a myriad of facets of way of life.

I think every day, the State creates more Patriots and Secessionists, people who get it, who realize that the ruse of government is a total farce, theater of the absurd, that all it is is a money laundering operation for the protected class set up to extract the wealth of the fruits of ones labor.
If you look at the statist-quo in this light, it becomes a joke, it’s power is predicated of fear of things, totalitarianism dressed up as a Republic, full of little totalitarians among us who will do a lot to hold onto their rice bowls.
And when an individual practices individualism, when a preference cascade of self determining people become a plurality, they naturally disempower the totalitarians. It creates a crisis of legitimacy.

Take Trump and the 65 million who voted for him in the The Great Fuck You color revolution. The statist quo is in disarray, it has become a laughing stock to millions, the insurgency of MAGA has created the unintended consequences of exposing the fake-state exactly as the fake-state, along with it’s instruments of totalitarianism such as the fake-media, fake-academia, fake-science, fake-congress, fake-uniparty, the whole lot of them. They are toast. There is no going back to the way it was of the last 35-40 years. The gravy days of cultural marxism.
Now its a matter of surviving this illegitimacy, where all resources go to the statist quo keeping its nose above the rising tide of foul sewage from the swamp that won’t drain.

Whats great about the whole thing, is the totalitarians haven’t quite figured out they are toast, that as they hack away at the liberty and prosperity of the self determining out of desperation to regain lost relevance, they are on the precipice of collapse, and once they begin to fold, it will happen so fast if your not watching you will miss the spectacle.

See, that Virtue Fran speaks of, it has no mercy, it knows no remorse, it doesn’t give a shit, it’s a dish of BFYTW served cold.

I am glad to hear that.
From the article: “What’s most important is the demonstration of how responsible persons act when their worries begin to surge.”
Yep. People act when their priorities change when they have real concerns.
June is usually a fun month for me and the people I used to hang with. Lots of fun things to do what with various celebrations and all. Missed it all this month, and probably will for July and August too.
My worldview has drastically changed since after the election last November. Not because I am concerned what evil things Trump would do, I actually voted straight “R” as a protest vote to the Progressive onslaught and was pleasantly surprised by the election results.
Figured “Well, we got a four year breather before the other side takes back thew reigns of power and TSHTF.” Figured you win some and you lose some, and the other side would see it that way too.”
      Nope. Not at all…
I got to see the unmasked opinions and reactions of the other side. They let their nicey-nice masks slip showing a glimpse of their true face. I can only imagine what the unrestrained behavior of those in positions to act out violently in full force extended over time would be like.
My views and my priorities, and how I spend my spare time are certainly different now.

They certainly have come out of the closet, haven’t they? I think we all knew there was a “choosing of sides” period coming which would of necessity be more or less overt. We are certainly in that period now. And yes, it’s rather shocking. It’s also gratifying; I’ve always believed the behavior of the left would be a recruiting tool for us, and so it has been. They would gladly kill us just to be rid of us and to be able to take our stuff, and they have no idea who would make stuff afterwards but they haven’t thought about that. It’s painfully obvious.

  4. Accentuate the Positive, there’s no room for Mr. In Between. Take advantage of the time to train, connect with your community and family, and make plans, even if you know your plans will probably fail, it will give you the experience you need to make better plans, and a frame of reference to work with others for making good plans. Since you already know the difference between right and wrong, getting good results will be up to your conscience. Tournament just around corner, Daniel-san, not talk so much, practice karate more.

Should the radicals gain a foothold here, this IS how it will be.

I just finished Matt Brackens new book this morning, very different for Matt, well done, just not what I had anticipated. Risky, but he nails it. Took me several days as the books a lot to do with Morocco. As a young sailor I spent a great deal if time in mid to northern Morocco, while I was stationed in ROTA Spain, this new book pipped my need to reacquaint myself with that area of the world.

Worth the read, matts becoming an eclectic novelist, recommend you all support Matt, by purchasing his books.

I’d appreciate your list of must-reads from Abbey as well.

        Brave Cowboy.

  8. Europe is ready to blow. Tet 2 is on going and pure chaos could be months, or just one event away. Europe is Amerika’s biggest customer of our economy, with tourism their biggest business. After 3 years of out of control 3rd world immigration, the once clean and safe Europe is profoundly 3rd world dirty and violent and tourism has dived. Small scale civil unrest is common nearly everywhere in Europe now and one more ‘event’ will set off the ungrateful immigrants. As civil unrest destroys their tourism and their economy, it will also slam ours, no matter what Trump does. Even a small bull market will cause chaos in Illinois, where nearly every municipality in the state is bankrupt due to the pension fraud. Nearly every paid policeman and fireman in the state is associated with a borderline bankrupt municipality. The obvious coming chaos in Europe will drop our markets by at least 15%, enough to wipe out dozens of cities and counties in Illinois. A minor bull market could cause a catastrophic public safety crisis in Illinois. Which could snow ball into a real and sustained bull market in this country. This event in Europe could happen tomorrow, or tonight or in 3 months. The pump is primed. It just needs an ignition.
Keep your guns holstered. But keep um real fuck’n handy from here on out.

    • TheyCallMeRockStar22

Holy Fuck. This is brilliant. And a dive in tourism will force companies, like Porsche and BMW, to raise their costs because they will have to pay more to their Govs. If they can’t tax the operators of tour industry in Europe, they will have to tax the goods more. Raising the cost of goods will make people spend elsewhere, or the companies have to cut employees and salaries. With Donalds new plan for manufacturing, this will change Americas needs for imports. causing a double whammy. Is Europe this fucked? Is Europe really run by Betas, commies, and sorority girls?

    • wendystringer48088

Thanks for the update on the great state of Illinois.
Funny, I know of a couple seminars that didn’t happen in the Chicago-land area this year. Costs go up and people have less money to spend and there are not enough numbers of people and money to make it worth while. People just don’t have the money to spend I guess.

Still lots of denial and escapism out there, and people of different political opinions have different views about exactly what is wrong and who to blame, but more people do seem to be catching on that things are not quite right and are not likely to get better any time soon.

“Keep your guns holstered. But keep um real fuck’n handy from here on out.”
Anyone who can legally carry concealed should be doing so every moment they can at this point, in my not so humble opinion. Also if possible might be a good idea to add a “trunk gun” (legally stored 223 or 30 cal rifle that can be quickly put into action) along with the camping/survival stuff normally carried in the trunk. (Including all necessary meds for those that are diabetic, etc.)
If things suddenly get weird might be stuck where you are for a time.
Play the game of going over all the stuff in the vehicle and asking “could I if stuck somewhere in the middle of no where do ok for a few days with just the stuff I have with me in this vehicle?”
Probably will be interesting enough without having to deal with anything that could be foreseen.
      Just my thoughts.

    • What do we make that Europeans want? Last time I was in Walmart it wasn’t filled with US made goods, but freaks and Chinese crap..

    • I think you mean “bear market”, not “bull market”. Otherwise, yeah, you got the picture.

So far they’re just mooching and into low level criminality. Not enough for them to go jihad on a mass scale. They need a build up. That’s what Osama did. He worked up to 9/11 and it took years. Our military saw it coming but blew it off after he blew up the AF barracks in KSA.

Two girls in Indiana were killed by having their throats cut. They had snapped pictures of the killer. Most likely the killer was a nearby county cop who did not want his picture taken since he was a child molester and did not want any witnesses that he had been on the trail. The case will never be solved because other pervert cops are covering for him.

        Stan July 18, 2017 at 8:54 am

I have to agree with the part that it seems the younger generation of cops are more of an issue. One night, I was at the bar celebrating my sisters birthday (I wasn’t drinking), after I dropped her off home, I went back to the bar because I forgot my jacket. There was this guy there (Who was a little handicapped). I saw that he was walking home. I offered him a ride (He wasn’t a stranger to me but we weren’t pals). So I dropped him off at his apartment complex. When we pulled up in the parking lot he sat there and talked to me for about a half hour. So finally the guy gets out of the car and walks to his apartment. A cop pulls up next to me in the parking lot. The cop is this young guy, probably no more than 23 years old. He asks me what the F*** am I doing there? Just like that! With a raised voice with the curse word! I said just dropping off a friend. He asks me at which apartment number? I told him I had no idea, he needed a ride home, he told me to park in the parking lot, we talked a bit, he got out and walked to his apartment? He then said that it was 2am and I shouldn’t be there. I said excuse me, but is there some sort of curfew (There isn’t a curfew in that town), he got really angry and yelled ‘Get the f**k out of here now!’. So I drove off the property and that punk followed me all the way home. That’s not how you interact with the public. I did absolutely nothing wrong. It was just a young punk, new on the job, with a badge trying to throw his weight around.

Sometimes I wonder if Americans really know that when they created the Federal Reserve and the Graduated Income Tax, America officially adopted the very last of the ten planks of the Communist Manifesto.
America has been on the slide towards fascism since the Act of 1871 and since 9/11 the process has accelerated at breakneck speed towards their goal of a global system. Welcome to Amerika!

I came across an incident that involved local cops psyching each other up, like at a pep rally, to tazer a dog who was caught in the brush.

I kept lights on their tazer the entire time and kept watch, up close and personal, on those cops. They were aware of what we were
doing. They knew we did not trust them and that we knew they were going to use the tazer.

Eventually the dogs were freed from their trap. All ended well, because we kept the cops and that tazer, lit up like a Christmas Tree.

In retrospect, it was the dog catchers job to do this, not the cops. The cops called the dog catcher who showed up late and was not prepared with any equipment. The dog catcher was afraid of the dog. He was useless. Totally useless. All he needed was a long pole with the cutter on the end, to cut the dog’s collar from the tree branches on the ground. Hello?

It’s come down to the fact that we have to police our own neighborhoods and handle our own problems, and to hell with the cops.

It’s us against them, and that’s a shame, because I know that that there are still a few good cops out there. However, the majority of cops are very dangerous people to the innocent. So because of all the dangerous ones, we fear the good cops too. One cannot know the difference now.

I have seen muslims in police uniforms here and other places, but this time it wasn’t muslim cops,it was our own whities. They weren’t that old either and they were not young. About 40’s.

Screw the cops. We’re on our own now. Apparently, we’re safer taking care of things ourselves.

I don’t mean to hurt any good cops out there, by saying this. You officers know which ones I’m talking about.

I called the police to report a crime, and the policeman came in my house and wanted my drivers license. As I was handing it to him I asked what it was needed for and he said “to put a name with a face.” I told him he could see my face and I had told him my name. Anyway, he sat in my driveway for about 15 minutes supposedly filing the report. I don’t think it should have taken that long. It felt like he thought I was the criminal! I resolved to never call the police again unless it was absolutely necessary.

I live about 60 mi from Mpls and have family that live there. That officer (and I use that term loosely) is the cities first Somali muslum on the police force. He also has had 3 complaints and a lawsuit on him in 2 yrs. Many in the mpls force have said if he was non-muslum that he would have been fired long ago but that he is now a political chip in the LARGE Somali community here. Personally, I feel he should be stoned….with big rocks. Keep up the good work Dave.

I am outraged at this incident! I mentioned in a post several months ago on this site, not to call the police if you see a crime (shoplifting or breaking into a car on the store parking lot or mugging outside), go back in the store -if convenient, which I had done for suspicious looking in/ loitering near cars, and report it to the manager or service dept. in the store. If someone shoplifts and I see it, I ignore it, since I’m not an employed undercover store security person. I realize more than ever even if you are white, never trust cops even if the neighbors are fighting with knives and cursing, ignore it completely. A NYC rape in ’77 was ignored, no one called cops as people watched out of their window apts. but that is NYC.

I live a few blocks from the scene where the cop shot Justine. She was unarmed and in her pajamas. Hardly someone you would say looked or acted threateningly. Our neighborhood is outraged at this senseless crime. And we still aren’t hearing anything about the other police officer in the car. What was he doing while his partner reached across him to shoot. Our local news also hasn’t followed-up about the incident she called 911 about in the first place. So many unanswered questions. Very frustrating!

The problem is that a lot of cops really are afraid and have no business being cops. One solution is to stop allowing cops to respond to a shooting incident by using the line “I feared for my life”. Every police officer knows, and is actually trained to say this line after a shooting, and in court if it gets there. Think about it, the over used term “hero” is used to describe anyone who wears a uniform; and yet, we are to believe that they shoot because they “are afraid”. Yes, it’s true, any human is going to have an automatic fear, or instinct for survival. when faced with an actual life threatening situation; but, to be a police officer you have to be capable of dealing with and managing such situations. Despite the line most people who want the job know they have to say “I want to help people”, most want the job because of the salary, benefits and relative “security” that one without a useful college degree or skill can get. And with overtime the pay can actually be very, very good. Audie Murphy was a hero, lets stop over using and misusing that word.

You’re on the money with the age issue. All of the younger cops in our little Wisc. city will not look at or talk to folks. They never seem to smile or acknowledge anyone (civilians) around them.

Fear and intimidation instead of respect and trust , what is going on ? People are hesitant to say anything . Remenber the police show that included the words a police sargent said its a war out there, well its coming true . ! War is a terrible expense to put on anyone , but profit has to keep the machine rolling . I wish president IKE was still around to warn the people again. History is repeating itself and is written by the winners .

the clock is ticking you fucking pigs.

i hope everyone of you are executed.

    • Europe is Amerika’s biggest customer of our economy, with tourism their biggest business.

      Not so much.
The trade we do with just two countries, China and Canada, dwarfs the trade we do with all 28 nations of the EU.

Germany only manages to make 5th place alone, because of cars, which #4 Japan and #6 Korea would make up in a heartbeat, not to mention the increase in American auto sales.

If all of Europe fell into a fiery sinkhole and disappeared forever tomorrow, the hit to our annual trade would be a net loss of about 16%. And the rest of the world would pick up the slack with us in about 4 seconds.

Europe barely rises to being a pimple on our ass.

And as usual, they need us one helluva lot more than we need them; something we demonstrated 240 years ago, and pounded home in two world wars.

For 70 years they’ve sown the wind, and are about to reap the whirlwind, and find out in an existential sense exactly what that means.

    • Rainman, The EU has blown up, how else do we describe what we’re seeing on the streets. Orginized rebellion from the group identified, as SOROS, and associates. Their intent was destabilization of the region. They achieved that, from a logical, overview what is their next move?

The only reason the EU has not declaired their Civil Ar, is because there’s money to be made, and ” Precieved” power to be gained. Those fuckimg idiots running the EU ” Junker” Dariho ? Merkel and now the new French guy, believe they can control radical Islam. That’s what makes them idiots.

Their the useful idiots, of the EU.

After just finishing Brackens,” Red Cliffs” I have a sudden urge to return to that part of the world, a bucket list thing. When last their 83, my distant memory is of wonderful exciting things, odors, foods, incredible music, incredibly beautiful woman from around the world, down on the beaches, vacationing. Of course those were different times, in a different era, I don’t recall any radicalization back then, I certainly didn’t witness it, if it existed.

Round trip, from Portland Or 1300.00 cheap.

“… I think every day, the State creates more Patriots and Secessionists, people who get it, who realize that the ruse of government is a total farce, theater of the absurd, that all it is is a money laundering operation for the protected class set up to extract the wealth of the fruits of ones labor. …”

I think you are on to something there. I was listening to an AM radio station out of New Orleans the other morning and in the course of one hour two callers said they wanted the state of LA to secede because there was no way CONservatives were going to convince any of the leftists to stop. And I think it cuts across age cohorts as well, as one caller was and 89 year old woman and the other was a 40 year old man. And we already know a “chunk” of Cali wants to secede and IIRC there was a large group of Republicans in TX that were in favor of secession. I think the idea is catching on… slow but sure… well, except for shit weasels like Glenn Beck and the cult of Lincoln bootlickers.

Shit weasels like Glen Beck have been key to waking up more than just a few.
Do shit weasels like Glen Beck get or understand everything? probably not.
nor do i. How about yourselves?
Can any of us point to one person and say we agree 100%?
cult of Lincoln bootlickers ? How many of you were born knowing the Truth, and have always known the Truth, and till this day have never been misled?

  13. Some younger people are getting it.
I met two young men under age 28 Friday morning about 3 AM at a truck stop diner and I struck up conversation with them since FOX news was on the tube and they were commenting on it.

They are Red Pilled and as a parting question I asked if they had ever heard of WRSA and the Ticker.
    Both are readers.

Keep it up , you are making a difference here and at all the other linked blogs.
Slowly but surely the younger generation is seeing the light.
