Posted with caveats.

Unprecedented situation.

Worst-case scenario.

YMMV.

  1. What we are facing is the socio-economic equivalent of the Waco massacre – we, the producers have been marginalized, cut off from all “legitimate” political and economic discourse, and demonized by an ((elite)) intent upon our destruction. Now, in our enclaves, we are surrounded by hostile forces, assaulted by the organized oligarchy, and our communities are being saturated with CS gas and fire accelerants by the armored forces of said ((elite)).
The coming economic and social conflagration will be no less a mass murder than what happened at Waco; it is perpetrated by the exact same people, for the exact same purposes; and obscured by the exact same cloud of lies and misinformation.

The only question remaining is, “What are you going to do about it? Die in place, or come out fighting?”, because they are leaving you no other options.

    • accuracy in all things: ((())), not (()).

otherwise, good essay by Gore…except for the (((Fed)))’s nonsense about “unwinding the debt”. Nope. It’s a shell game on top of a Ponzi scheme: the debt is being shifted from one Rothschild bank to another, translated into other derivatives, etc. ‘Murka’s jew.gov will be issuing (+ warehousing off the books) another $1 trillion plus in debt this year. As usual.

  2. Kondratiev wave how I love thee,
Left me not a pot in which to pee,
    Expecting 9 lbs of crap,From a 7 lb sack,
How we wish the clock we could turn back,
Our pooch has been porked it is plain to see.

Technology has stalled. The smart phone is it. The pinnacle.

The only frontier left is AI and science fiction aside, it’s not looking too promising. The best chess software is about as good as the best chess players…which has been true for the last decade and a half ie no ground breaking progress.

So you’ve got some big BIG picture things going on and it’s helpful to zoom way out: there’s no new “thing” on the horizon that magically solve our problems…no next transistor, no next microchip, no dilithium crystal, zilch nada.

You’ve got automation gradually putting people out of a job. I think the rate is something like for every 8 new jobs tech creates, it eliminates 10 jobs.

Tech has its problems too. Lots and lots of tech needs to be portable and the only decent way to power it is lithium ion or lithium polymer. We’re running out of lithium folks.

But it gets worse because we run out of rare earth elements before we run out of lithium (your smartphone contains 16 of the 17 rare earth metals).

Sounds like the peak oil scam except two things differentiate it: we discovered lots and lots of unknown oil and our consumption today is *half* what it was in 1985, a counterintuitive fact if there ever was one.

Government debt is insane. Any ‘extra’ profit that automation will produce will get devoured by the government to make good on its promises. And it still won’t be enough. The quantity of dollars necessary to service our debt *today* would itself fund Single Payer. Not paying it off. No, just the service payments. Not that I like Single Payer, it just has one of the highest CBO scores ever.

There’s a limit to government spending in the red: eventually there’s a magic number that causes credit downgrades and credit downgrades make the rates for servicing debt go up. Instant feedback loop.

Austerity will just incite rebellion. And why not if there’s nothing to lose?

The ultimate X factor here is how much more can-kicking can be done, by the Fed and by the government?

I thought we were done for in 2007-2008. I don’t understand how we made it this far.

The country is insolvent. Not just the government–the entire country. Marinate on that sentence a while.

But the upcoming Reset will be a good opportunity to reassert our respective tribes’ role at the top of the dominance hierarchy.

Sharpen your hatchet, have lots of babies, read the Church Fathers, and have ample supplies of rice and beans… and dangerous friends.

    • I had lots of babies. Not sure how I’m going to feed them if this comes to pass.

        Depends on your budget.

General answer is store a lot of long term high calorie foods and have a good garden/farm plan. Which everybody knows but nobody does.

What does that look like? Maybe you order cases of #10 cans of dried pinto beans and rice from the Mormons ( https://store.lds.org/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Category3_715839595_10557_3074457345616706370_-1_N_image_0 ). 30 year shelf life for most of it and good prices.

Maybe you have to buy 200lbs of Producer’s Pride Whole Corn at Tractor Supply that you have to whack with a piece of rebar a million times until it’s corn meal. (Better than Nothin’: Harbor Freight grain mill, Better: Victoria Professional cast iron corn mill, Best: grain mill attachment for the wife’s Kitchen Aid mixer + off grid power to run it!).

Maybe you have a brown thumb and buy a 5 gallon bucket of nonhybrid dent corn for your green thumb neighbor to grow.

Send the 10 year old out with a Daisy Powerline 880 to get a mess of squirrels. Nail some baited rat traps to some walnut trees.

Possibilities are endless. But do something.

Oh, and I would read this book ASAP:

‘Maintaining Nutritional Adequacy During a Prolonged Food Crisis’ published by Oak Ridge National Lab in 1979.

It’s in pdf format all over the internet.

      • What is it with the “starvation” doom porn fantasy? It’s like you’re searching for any boxcar you can find to punish your White guilt. Been watching too much mainstream media lately? Christians and Jews are neck-and-neck in a 2,000 year race for who can peddle the most self-loathing. The solution to food delivery disruption is simple. Feed big government supporters to hogs, then eat the hogs. Fills your belly and reduces your enemies at the same time. Having removed enough enemies, the free market will restore the food deliveries.

  7. RG, in his wheelhouse, is unsurpassed.

    TL;DR version: Bubbles burst.

As Commander Zero has advised regarding all such Bad Things:
    Be Somewhere Else.

Being in proximity to the bubble (let alone riding unconcerned in the gondola underneath) is not a good long-term strategy.

    bullets
    bullion
    bandaids
    barter goods
    beans
(which latter includes legumes, seed corn, plantable potatoes, a small flock of chickens, and breeding pair or more of rabbits, would be an order of magnitude better place to be than living paycheck to paycheck, or depending on one’s suddenly imaginary pension bux.
Arable land, potable water, good clear fields of fire, distance from the Blue Hive, and some stout likeminded neighbors will be the new version of rich, skinny, and beautiful.

Otherwise, one had best remember that Soylent Green is people.

ZeroHedge has been predicting an imminent economic collapse every day for the past ten years. Eventually, they’ll probably be right. And eventually Yellowstone will erupt, and eventually, another comet/asteroid will hit us, and eventually, the sun will engulf us.

  9. Life, Liberty, and Property – as true now as it was then. Secure an arable piece of land, one with reliable source(s) of water, in a temperate climate that has a reasonably long growing season – this is critical. But you’ll need to defend that precious asset from encroachment, legal and less than legal. Develop a network sufficient to provide for the common defense.

  10. Anon 4:42, it ain’t porn doom, it’s reality. Part and parcel of this whole survival thing is that there are few of us here, and in this country who have known REAL HUNGER. If you have never known it, or seen it with your own eyes, it’s not real to you, and that’s one of the things that make it so dangerous. Most in this country would not BELIEVE it possible, because they have not had a hunger experience in their lives. But it is real, and it is definitely going to be on the schedule of life when things go sideways in this country. Hunger is a more potent weapon than atomic weapons. It can turn a living population of a nation into willing and politically pliable slaves, without killing them, or destroying a lot of property. And that, ultimately, is the aim of any tyrannical govt. Get them to do your bidding without destroying the place. Carried out effectively and strategically, starvation is the most useful tool in the collectivist box. I’d tell you to check with the Ukranians, but millions of them seem to be missing. Ditto the Chinese.

  11. It’s a tax! Every extra dollar they printed, made the money in our pockets worth less every year. We would have needed about a 1000% pay increase just to try and stay even. How on earth are derivatives even legal?
