      In the grand scheme of things, it started in the 1960’s. The Woodstock Generation of pot heads, draft dodgers, and craven Nancy-boys have put us where we are now. They all received useless, unmarketable Bachelors Degrees and: “went into education” or “went into federal government service”. They have been stabbing the private-sector wealth producers, home school advocates, and other libertarian-minded folks in the back since then.
      The upside is their spawn cannot handle stress, firearms, or disappointment of any kind with anything approaching manliness. They are in touch with their: “inner feminine” and their perennial battle cry is: NO FAIR! They will not do the fighting and confiscating, however. Their Orcs and Orcettes will be out in droves shooting at us and confiscating everything we own and hold dear, in the name of creating their version of equality. Get ready.

        They’ve both been involved with ‘education’ for decades and I wouldn’t put it past them to still be personally dangerous to people (they were and probably still are quite comfortable with the idea of killing at least 25 million people to try to make their ‘people’s communist utopia’ work).

        How many dozens of students over the decades have they indoctrinated and groomed? And that’s just the two of them…not counting all the rest of their marxist collectivist ‘fellow travellers’ teaching across the country in schools from grade school to colleges.

    Ian, I used to compete with a handgun in IPSC style, and when I had to shoot weak hand (left) I automatically switched to my left eye. But when I switched back to right hand, I kept using my left eye. Hmmm?

      The first gift I gave my boys when they were old enough to understand Col. Coopers four rules of gun safety was a Ruger 10-22. A little later in life, my boys all recieved “To ride, shoot straight and speak the truth” by Col. Cooper. Fine reading for any man, regardless of age.

      Watch how he screams and brags about he can get any woman and kill any man, and how rich he is or how high his IQ is or how much he can lift or how healthy his doc says he is or any other such amazing dog squeeze. Good thing is he’s likely to be a bit on the old side and we won’t have to hear about his awesome waist size or about how much of a Don Juan he is or how he buys a new property every month for too much longer.     Yes, it is a good idea for a Father to teach his Son, or Daughter to shoot. I was started at age 9. I have no regrets that my father taught me at a young age. I taught my Daughter at the age also. I had only one child, a Girl,

    Ahhh..fond memories of my pop, a 24yr US ARMY CSM, teaching me the basics or marksmanship with a Crossman pump up bb/pellet gun, open sights and home made backstop..went on to a .22 rifle, then more advanced handguns at age 10, his Remington .45 he liberated from the military.

    Then a Winchester 670 .243 bolt gun to hunt in ND…

    Also, he taught me the basics of fisticuffs, not to start a fight, but always end it quickly and violently and to defend the defenseless/weak.

    He would always stand behind me if i got into fights, which i did, and was defending myself or others, even if expulsion occurred, i just went to work with him and learned more stuff.

    Like many, i grew up w violence, from bullies/to sports like football, wrestling and lacrosse, and boxing in school too…

    Of course my time in .mil and various Combatives/Krav/Muay Thai/Judo training, simply fine tuned my abilities/fondness for violence, i don’t shy from it should it come to my doorstep, but i don’t seek it out either.

    At 53 years old, i don’t recover like i used too and seem to take more
    vitamin M as a result…

    It is tough being Opa to 4 grand kids with parents that are left of center leaning and zero experience with violence and the blief that it “won’t happen to them.”

    I have been teaching the local 4yr old how to fish, camp and some basic Muay Thai and Judo stuff…He has a pretty good flying knee….

    we’ll see….

    Any responsible “father” would train their kids to know how to respect and handle a weapon, whether they’re fond of them or not.
    As a Paki ex-friend once told me: “keep your kids sharp as a knife for some day you may need them”. How true!

    They also need to tell their sons (and daughters) that the school teachers and counselers and other staff are agents of the state and certain information – such as: are there guns in the house, does their father ever “hit” (spank) them should not be shared with them and it is ok to lie and thell them “No” because they will use the information to get daddy and mommy in trouble and take them away.

    Also that the school system is hyper sensitive to any mention of weapons and anything said even as a joke will be used to get them in trouble.

    Odd all this – and probably by design. The commenter above who stated this all (probably) began in the 1960’s is probably spot on – I’m from that generation (a late teenager at that point) and I remember. Was in the boy scouts (troop run by ex-WWII vets), my father was a vet (south Pacific army) and I was involved in NRA shooting at an indoor range (ROTC) at the local high school beginning at about age eight. All good preparation for the USMC beginning in 1967 – so what the shit happened between then and now (for the most part)? I think that we ‘crossed the river’ a long time ago and (call it whatever you want) the ‘other’ side is so entrenched in so many fields (government, education, etc.) that there is not going back leaving our society in a really bad situation. Those few who still believe in raising strong children, have a solid belief system and those like myself are few and far between – prepare well and build your near by communities: you (and I) are going to need them very, very soon.

    I taught 6 of my eight children, the grandchildren, and wife to shoot, scoot, and communicate, and several of the neighbors kids, along with some of my friends. Tried to get them all, but the communists got the ear of some of them……The boys seemed easiest to convince, but the girls turned out to be good shots too. Taught literally thousands of young men and women to shoot when I was in the Army. Did what I could.
